Wrist warmers are always a good choice—these are knitted as a rectangle on circular needles and sewn together later, so they fit perfectly in your purse.

All you need is 50g of sock-weight yarn.
The pattern is explained row by row and also shown in a chart, and after 2 pattern repeats, you’ll know it by heart.

Especially in winter, when it’s cold, people love to give away a few (homemade?) treats. The crocheted (or knitted) snowman on the candy jar is an ideal little project for on the go. All you need is some white cotton yarn, some colorful sock yarn, and a scrap of orange yarn. That, along with a crochet hook, fits perfectly in any handbag. So you can crochet a great little gift on the bus, train, or in the car (if you’re not driving yourself!) while you’re on the go.
The pattern is available here!

Every schoolchild will love these cute pencil toppers, and even the little ones in preschool will enjoy them. You can fit a small scrap of cotton yarn in any bag (even your pants pocket), so you can crochet a dog, cat, or mouse—for example—on your way to work. It’s quick and lots of fun. Just glue the eyes on at home.

If you want to hang an impressive bat string light in your window for Halloween, you can crochet these simple bats from leftover yarn while you're out and about. At home, they are then attached to an LED string light so that their eyes appear to glow. But they also make great Halloween decor as a mobile without lights.

Socks in your handbag - always a good idea.

These spiral socks are knitted without a heel and fit a wide range of sizes. Their shape allows them to hug the foot snugly.

This pattern is explained in detail in the instructions, and you’ll also find size information ranging from the smallest size (14) up to size 47.

When will you get the pattern to knit socks without heels?

A dishcloth or trivet always makes a lovely gift.

This pattern is just one row long and easy to follow. You should already know how to crochet single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and chain stitches. Any leftover cotton yarn works well.

You’ll find the pattern, yarn suggestions, and color combinations here

Fall is already in the air, and soon we’ll be glad to have a headband to protect us from the cold wind.

This headband can be individually adjusted to fit anyone. The pattern consists of a single row and is easy to follow if you know how to work single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and chain stitches.

Dolls need pants, just like their doll moms. These come in two versions and are quick and easy to knit from leftover yarn. They’re easy to slip into your bag and take with you.

Great for beginners with some knitting experience to try their hand at. Fits dolls approximately 45–50 cm tall.

Note: There’s also a matching sweater or a little jacket with a hat.

These cute baby shoes with hearts are perfect for crocheting on the go. All you need is leftover yarn, and the baby will have nice, warm feet. The little ribbons are especially practical, because they keep the shoes from getting lost when the baby kicks.

These two spooky little fellows are super quick and easy to crochet.
The two little ghosts are perfect as small gifts, as bag charms for a daycare bag, or for a school backpack.

The pattern is described in detail and includes plenty of pictures, so even beginners can achieve great results. The bag charms measure about 15 cm (when using the specified yarn weight and hook size).

Something easy for on the go? With a small craft project in your bag, you’re always well equipped. You can make good use of any waiting time and then feel happy that you’ve actually accomplished something while out and about. My suggestions for small on-the-go projects like this are:

1. Knitting pattern: wrist warmers with elaborate ladies’ and beautiful cable pattern

-> ideal for fall and mild winter, they look modern and stylish, and they’re especially great for young women, since they always need to keep their little fingers free for their phones :-) By the way, most of them want some in gray because it goes with everything and doesn’t look cheesy:

2. Knitting pattern: Featherlight Loop Scarf

-> ideal for on the go because we only knit stitch in the round, and the whole thing is featherlight. It’s purely diligent work that you can do wonderfully while out and about. Here’s one in beige to take a look at. I didn’t like the color that much on the ball of yarn, but now it’s my favorite color because it simply looks great with all earth tones.

3. Crochet pattern: princess dress

-> the doll moms will definitely be delighted. The dress is crocheted in one piece. You have different versions to choose from. Just take a look at the pictures - or ask your daughters and granddaughters what they like best.

I hope you have lots of fun with your new project.
Warm regards from Ina

Here are my mini projects, which are ideal for when you're out and about, as a small weekend project, or for an evening in front of the TV.

A great Christmas gift—the “Snowflakes” decoration

Click here for the pattern This year, I made snowflakes for Christmas. Each snowflake has a diameter of about 15 cm and looks like a little star
. The snowflakes make wonderful Christmas tree ornaments and can also
be
used as door or window decorations, or as coasters for candle holders. A snowflake can be crocheted very quickly. It requires very little yarn—perfect for using up scraps!
