Even though we’re still in the middle of summer, it’s time to gradually start thinking about fall decorations. You can actually have a cute squirrel all year round, but it’s especially fitting in fall
when it’s hopping through the garden outside, gathering nuts and acorns for winter.

You can decorate Kiki the squirrel charmingly with nuts or small pumpkins. It will be about 14 cm tall when crocheted with cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g (e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr).
For the ear tips and the tail, I used a fringe yarn with long fringes (Peppina by Lana Grossa).
You can download the pattern here.

Here’s a crochet project you’re sure to enjoy—it’s very versatile and not difficult at all. Plus, you can use up lots of your colorful leftover yarn to make the “Noah’s Ark” door wreath. With its vibrant rainbow colors and many animals, it’s an eye-catcher in any child’s room: a great gift for a newborn or a baptism!

One thing you can always make ahead of time is felted soles. You’re guaranteed to need them starting in fall. That’s when it gets cooler and uncomfortable in rubber boots. Well, if you’re smart, you’ll plan ahead. If you knit felted soles for the whole family now in summer and let them felt in the washing machine, you can take care of every family member when the time comes.

My husband always needs them for his fishing boots, I need them for my winter boots, and my grandchildren need them for their rubber boots. Felted soles are nice and thick and soft, so they cushion your step. They don’t pinch and adapt to each person’s foot shape. They don’t absorb odors, and your feet don’t sweat on them. So they’re perfect as insoles for shoes and boots. You can make them from your leftover felting wool in all sizes. You knit them, and the washing machine takes care of the felting.

I hope you enjoy the pattern and always have warm feet - Yours, Ina

A convertible little dress with straps for toddlers that grows with them is a big hit, because it fits from 6 months to at least 3 years. It’s also very easy to knit, even for beginners with some knitting experience.

The tissue box cover decorated with butterflies and hearts is always a hit. It brings great joy as a gift, and we have one in almost every room. People ask me about it again and again.

It’s very easy and quick to crochet. Leftover yarn can be used very well for it. A lovely project for beginners with some crochet experience.

If you have young children, you should think about the St. Martin’s parade in good time. Making a lantern doesn’t take long, but choosing one and buying everything you need for it can take a little time. So it’s best to start thinking about it now and download some instructions. For example, these.

The lantern is made of cardstock and tracing paper. It has a practical size of approx. 29 x 22 x 11 cm and is easy for a child to carry. This lantern is easy to make; all the steps are explained in detail in the craft instructions.

Dante hats are already keeping many knitters and their families and friends warm. Whether with or without ear flaps, with or without pom-poms, they make great gifts. And the color palette of the original yarn as well as the alternative yarns leaves nothing to be desired.
Of course, we’re hoping winter will take its time—but that doesn’t stop us from starting a warm project right now, does it? (Psst… there are also matching mittens—just browse my shop!)

Knitting pattern for a scarf with a cable look, completely without a cable needle

For this model, only knit and purl stitches are worked. This makes it a lovely project even for less experienced beginners.

In terms of size, it is about 25 cm wide (using my yarn information). The length can, of course, be chosen as desired by repeating the pattern repeat.

Want to crochet a few granny squares again for a change? Maybe a new cushion or perhaps a blanket?

Granny Number3 is one of 6 granny squares, all of which have the same number of stitches in the last round. So they can be combined perfectly.

If you'd like to see all the granny squares together, you'll find HERE a collection of the granny squares

It’s proven to be very handy to always have a small supply of decorative flowers on hand, because you’re sure to find a use for them quickly: Whether you’re decorating a greeting card or gift wrapping, making jewelry out of them, or using them as wall decor—the possibilities are just as varied as the craft projects themselves.

The flowers are made from cardstock. The pattern includes template drawings for 3 flower shapes, each in 5 to 7 sizes ranging from about 3 to 7.5 cm, as well as circle templates for the flower centers.
