This carnival mask can easily be finished in time for the big celebration days, because it’s quick to crochet and already makes up half of your carnival costume. You’ll definitely look very mysterious in it! The mask is not difficult to crochet. There is a crochet chart, but every round is also described stitch by stitch. A few leftover yarn scraps (preferably cotton) are enough. At the end, you can decorate the mask however you like with sequins, rhinestones, or feathers, or leave it completely simple.

You can find the pattern here!

Are you looking for a small project with a big impact for your leftover yarn?

If there’s a wedding coming up soon in your circle of friends, this bride and groom with a built-in surprise makes a wonderful gift! Each little doll is crocheted around an empty Kinder Surprise egg capsule. That way, you can open them at the belly and hide a surprise inside (gift certificate, money, etc.). The bride and groom also look great as a wedding cake topper. And if you adjust the two a bit to resemble the real bride and groom, you’ll truly have the ultimate wedding gift!

The colorful little birds are a real eye-catcher on an Easter branch and are perfect for using up small amounts of colorful cotton leftovers. They’re so quick to crochet and so much fun that you’re sure to make a whole bunch of them. And you’ll definitely need to, because experience shows they fly away fast ;-)

How about a hat for spring, knitted with a lighter yarn?

The Zipfelig Hat comes in 3 sizes from 0–24 months, and basic knowledge of knit and purl stitches, knitting stitches together, yarn overs, and increasing stitches is required.

Here you’ll find the pattern, yarn suggestions, and lots of pictures

Knitting Nancy Rug

How about a really colorful project where you can use up your leftover yarn? This beautiful, colorful rug for a child’s room is made from individual knitting Nancy cords made with a knitting Nancy. This is a great way to use up your leftover yarn—we need 5 g per cord. The knitting Nancy cords are threaded through a crocheted grid. This creates new color effects row by row. No one else will have a beautiful rug like this but you! There won’t be another one just like yours. Many people have already made their rugs and are thrilled with them.

More information, pictures, and, of course, the pattern can be found by clicking on the title.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project - Ina

For this project, too, all you need is leftover yarn and a crochet hook. You probably have both at home, so you can crochet this small, pretty, and practical pencil roll in a single weekend. You can use it to store pens, brushes, or crochet hooks. The roll is rolled up and folded over, so all the tips are protected. Then just tie it closed, and everything is neatly and securely stowed away.

You’ll find more information and the pattern by clicking on this link: Pencil Roll

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your crafting—Ina

Crochet Patterns for 2 Colorful Little Buckets

You’re probably familiar with those little plastic buckets that hold 1000 g of yogurt or similar items from the supermarket (about 13 cm tall and 13 cm in diameter). That’s exactly the kind of bucket we need. Add plenty of colorful leftover cotton yarn and a size 3 crochet hook—and you’re ready to go! You have two different designs to choose from. I really like both of them—and they’re also eye-catching when displayed as a pair.

They look wonderful on a desk in a child’s room or as decor. They’re perfect for storing pens, paintbrushes, scissors, or odds and ends. You’ll find more information and the pattern by clicking on the title.

I hope you have lots of fun with this lovely leftover-yarn project—Ina

Ready for the carnival parade? Or a carnival party? If you don’t have time to take care of a complete carnival costume, then a mask is just the right disguise alternative for you.

This parrot mask is made from cardstock and can be adapted to any face by enlarging or reducing the templates. It is very easy to make and can be recreated without effort even by a beginner at crafting.

How about a spring-inspired cowl that can also be worn as a hat?
With Chinese Double, this is possible:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/35538/chinese-double-gestrickter-cowl-oder-muetze

With 50g of yarn that has a yardage of approx. 140m per 50g, the cowl or hat knits up very quickly.
The pattern is very simple and explained row by row, but is also shown in a chart.

These fun leftover-eaters cut a great figure on many occasions and are very quick to crochet from scraps. You can give them as gifts with something inside, use them to equip birthday parties—even for kids—store pens, knitting/crochet hooks and small items in them, and much more.

In any case, they spread good cheer everywhere, and your leftover yarn finally gets put to good use.
