Crocheting clothes for dolls

Thanks, Ina—using this forum will help me, too, because it’ll motivate me. I’ll try to make Theo and Thea’s clothes fit her :-) Thank you all

Crocheting clothes for dolls

A teddy bear for my godchild with a growling voice.

Just two examples of what I’ve made, and there was much more besides.

Thank you all, and I’ll give it a try. Yes, before my 3 strokes I used to do a lot of crafting and handwork. There was hardly anything I didn’t do, since I also worked for bazaars at a residential home ... hmm, like a machine ;) Of course I can’t manage as much as I used to, but I’ve already crocheted a few worry/lucky worms, counting mice for my grandchildren, and a Master Yoda was among them too. I knitted my husband a lovely safety-yellow scarf, but everything I make just takes time, and often I have to leave the work lying for a few weeks. In the past I often worked from my own imagination, but that doesn’t work at all anymore... I always need patterns and lots of time :) I was happy about your tips, and when I finish something I’ll show it to you

I sewed this one....and except for the clothes, everything was done by hand on my boys’ sports fields during practice or games; even while watching TV, my hands were never still.

Crocheting clothes for dolls

I have a doll that’s 22 cm from head to toe, and when I bought her, she was only wearing underwear.
For personal reasons, I haven’t been able to do anything else for her until now.

I’d like to start trying to crochet a little dress or something for her. Can anyone help me with a pattern? I’d also be happy to pay for it if it’s affordable.

Best regards, Petra - Roxi

Poll: Do you print out patterns or follow them on screen while crafting?

I always print them out.

Help - Red Worry Worm with a Heart

Good morning and have a wonderful day, everyone!
I saw the pattern for a keychain a little while ago... crocheted in red like the worry worms, but with a heart. To buy it, I had to top up my account first, and now I can’t find it anymore. Can anyone help me?

Warm regards from Berlin

Soap pouches

Thanks, Wollefaden—that’s really sweet of you. I already have that pattern.

I’ll just explain how I’ve been trying to do it so far.

I chained 30 stitches, then crocheted single crochet stitches all the way around the foundation chain, and then continued with double crochet stitches, but somehow it’s not turning out the way I think it should—it’s supposed to go straight up. I’ve even watched tutorials on YouTube, but unfortunately I’m having trouble figuring it out :-( Maybe I’m just doing something fundamentally wrong.

Soap pouches

I’m reaching out to you with a request.
For Christmas, I wanted to crochet some soap pouches for my family and fill them with a nice soap, but somehow I guess I’m just not getting it :-(
Because of three strokes, I have problems anyway, but this time I just can’t make sense of the patterns I have.

Is there anyone who can explain it to me in an idiot-proof way, or who knows where I can find a pattern that explains it step by step? I’ve already started five times, but somehow it just isn’t working out.

If such a pattern exists, I’d be happy to buy it.

Best regards, Petra-Roxi

Collaborative Christmas Poem for CP

Woolly Christmas at Crazypatterns

The needles click softly in the cozy room
while in the cooking pot, turnips simmer and bloom.

The mulled wine on the stove is steaming away,
while the youngest munches cookies all day.

Josefa looks forward to the tree,
and knits a stocking—I can hardly believe what I see!

And afterward she crochets a blanket, too,
while housework is left with nothing to do.

The apartment smells of cookies sweet,
on the sofa my kitten sleeps in the heat.

Despite the mulled wine, the stocking is nearly done,
but the yarn is poor quality—not much fun.

Oh dear, what should I do with it now?
Unraveling keeps me fit somehow.

Josefa can get some help, of course,
from all the helpful CP authors.

Meanwhile she looks for Christmas balls,
"Which colors are in? I'll google it all."

And where are all those pretty crochet stars?
I have the idea: "I'll make them myself"—gladly, by far.

Quick as a wink, the yarn is here.
So bright in yellow, like sunshine clear.

But where can I get a pattern from?
The answer to that question isn't a hard one.

Looked on Crazypatterns, hooray!
There they are already—on the picture in the snow they lay

One click—this pattern has to be mine.
For joy I could shout out loud and shine

But what was that? There's a knock at the door!
Never mind, I don't have time for that anymore.

The socks won't leave me alone
There it knocks again! Who can it be, unknown?

Let me in! comes the voice from outside the house
It's me, of course—Santa Claus!!

Oh man, he's brought the big stocking along
what's inside it, I care about that strong!

I'm so curious, I want to know,
Mandarins, nuts, and the soft yarn I wished for—I don't want to miss them, you know.

The yarn comes first, that's the plan.
I hope Santa Claus understands that, man.

Full of expectation, Josefa opens the door
gladly reaches for the packages and thanks Santa Claus warmly for them once more.

Which one has the yarn inside?
Oh man, how tense I am, wide-eyed.

In the first little package is a toaster
then comes an Elvis Presley poster

The yarn must be in there somewhere...
Maybe here? No ... just a beautiful lucky stone to spare.

No yarn at all? That can't be right!
Who swiped it—which woolly little sprite?

At last I have found it, dear.
What a joy! I'll knit it in the round right here!

Praise and thanks be to the Christ Child!
and I'll make myself cozy on the stove bench for a while.

But Christmas isn't over yet; someone is at the door.
After all, it's only a quarter to 4.

Then the smartphone rings too—who could it be?
Surprise: more yarn is announced for me :-)

Aunt Auguste arrives with even more little parcels.
Where is there still a free corner for those?

After a moment's thought, it comes to me:
In the kitchen: in the oven! There's still room, you see!

But—oh dear—now I've already discovered it beforehand:
Someone has already hidden something there, unplanned.

There lies a package with a red bow,
There's no yarn inside; it smells like soap, you know!

Now mischief is whispering in my ear
I'll just let the whole thing "sink in" here

Because soap in the oven isn't something you find every day.
Does anyone have another question about that, by the way? ;-)

Aunt Auguste is somewhat amazed,
after all, she'll soon be 100 years of age.

A suitable hiding place was found after all,

Meanwhile the knitting needles make their rounds, sometimes slow and sometimes quick, "Has a hiding place been found?"

Grandma's Glasses Holder

My mom will turn 80 in January, and I’m desperately looking for patterns for making a glasses holder. There are some here for men, but not for women—or did I miss something?

Necklaces

My sister wants a necklace for her 50th birthday—preferably a shell necklace like the ones from back in the day, handmade. I can’t find any patterns, and I doubt you can get the materials that easily these days.
Now I’d like to make a white necklace using wool and beads or something like that... do you have any ideas?
