Soap pouches

I’m reaching out to you with a request.
For Christmas, I wanted to crochet some soap pouches for my family and fill them with a nice soap, but somehow I guess I’m just not getting it :-(
Because of three strokes, I have problems anyway, but this time I just can’t make sense of the patterns I have.

Is there anyone who can explain it to me in an idiot-proof way, or who knows where I can find a pattern that explains it step by step? I’ve already started five times, but somehow it just isn’t working out.

If such a pattern exists, I’d be happy to buy it.

I’ll just explain how I’ve been trying to do it so far.

I chained 30 stitches, then crocheted single crochet stitches all the way around the foundation chain, and then continued with double crochet stitches, but somehow it’s not turning out the way I think it should—it’s supposed to go straight up. I’ve even watched tutorials on YouTube, but unfortunately I’m having trouble figuring it out :-( Maybe I’m just doing something fundamentally wrong.

Hi, I think this is a great idea, but I have a few questions about making and using soap pouches.

What’s your experience with them?

How exactly do you use them? What material would you recommend?

I really love the idea of moving away from shower gel, so I bought some nice-smelling soap.

Maybe some of you have already switched to soap and have a few tips for me
