Dear users, dear authors,
are you feeling the Monday blues, or are you kicking off the new week with energy?
How are you doing? What are you up to?
What’s for lunch? Do you have weekly plans and craft goals?
What’s the weather like?

Hey there :-)

Mondays are always my day off, and I’m using it to write patterns,

even though the ironing is calling out to me—but that’ll have to wait today.

So my Monday looks like this: drinking coffee and writing patterns—that’s it :-D

The weather is gray as can be and it’s bringing me down :-\/

Best, Heike

The weather affects my mood, too, and shows up as headaches. This morning I started knitting a new pair of socks (in dark brown) and continued crocheting a dragon. On the side, I’m doing housework, work, and other things that need to be done. On top of that, it’s freezing cold because the heat isn’t working at the office. But soon I’ll be able to go home and get back into bed. For lunch today, I’m just having some hot tea, and for dinner, I’ll have spinach with potatoes and a fried egg.

Nope, there’s no sign of the Monday blues here. Now that the kids’ birthday party with a sleepover is over, I already cleaned my kitchen this morning and am currently making lunch (apple pancakes).
The weather is gray and wet here, too, but that doesn’t bother me—I don’t have to go outside today.
I’ll do some knitting tonight, but first I need to do the laundry....

Hi,

I’m definitely suffering from the Monday blues. The weather is really getting me down.

My daughter has had her friend over since Friday. It was my husband’s birthday on
Saturday, and yesterday both of my daughters took part in the St. Martin’s Run.
Today, it’s back to everyday life.

I still have to work until 4 p.m., then quickly do the shopping and pick up the kids.

The ironing is actually waiting, but it’s used to waiting—one more day won’t
make a difference.
I’m crocheting a guardian angel for my mother-in-law. It should be finished by
Friday evening, since we’re visiting her in the hospital on Saturday.

Yesterday I was shocked to realize that Christmas is only 6
weeks away and I still want to get so much crocheting done by then.

I desperately need 10 more hands.

For dinner tonight, we’re having a cold supper—that is, bread and rolls, sausage, cheese,
tomatoes, eggs, etc.

Best regards, Heike

My husband and I are flying to Milan tomorrow morning for three nights. We just dropped Anton off at my parents’ house. Phew, it’s a strange feeling. But I’m sure it’ll all work out just fine.
I just laid out my clothes, and my husband is packing the suitcase.

It’s kind of exciting.

It was sunny here today, and the autumn leaves were glowing in the most beautiful colors. In the evening, we went to the St. Martin’s parade organized by the kindergarten. It wasn’t cold at all, so we didn’t really need the mulled wine. But it was delicious anyway!

For me, today doesn’t really feel like Monday—I’ve been working the night shift since Friday and will be on duty until tomorrow. So when I finish work on Wednesday morning, that’s when my “weekend” officially begins. Yesterday we went to a St. Martin’s Day parade and were incredibly lucky with the weather—despite the rain forecast, it was absolutely beautiful. And today it poured—so today’s parade quite literally got rained out.
This week, I really want to sew the coat for my sister’s dog. She asked for it. What else I do depends entirely on my mood—probably a few more little things for Christmas.

Yesterday, for the very first time, I saw cotton fields in person… and felt the cotton on the plant!

The cotton is like very delicate, soft cotton wool, while the boll around it is quite prickly and hard....

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a farm stand or even a local yarn shop anywhere.... I think that’s a shame, though my sweetheart was probably more relieved....
