Animal-themed heating pad covers/cuddle cloths definitely make lovely gifts for children.
Since they don’t necessarily have to be filled with heating pads, they also work wonderfully as gift packaging!

The Mega Savings Set  includes patterns for
the hippo (incl. headband)
the koala
the rabbit and the cat

All patterns are described in detail and illustrated, perfect for beginners, and also include a print-friendly short version without pictures at the end.
In my Shop the patterns are also available individually!

Kids will love this ball/balloon cover

Individual granny squares are crocheted and then joined together at the end. An opening allows you to change the balloon inside. When the balloon is fully inflated, the ball is great for kicking or throwing—it rolls away, and the baby can crawl after it. When only slightly inflated, it’s perfect for practicing grasping.

The size of the ball will vary depending on the yarn and hook size used. I used cotton yarn, and leftover yarn is also suitable for this project.

The pattern is detailed, and many pictures illustrate the individual steps.

You can find the pattern for the ball here

What little boy isn’t thrilled by trains? This crocheted train is ideal for very young children, since it has no sharp edges that could cause injury. It’s very sturdy and won’t mind if it gets tossed around every now and then. And if it gets dirty, you can even wash it! It’s big enough to carry little passengers (e.g. Playmobil figures). The individual wagons are connected with Velcro.
You can buy the train as a value set (patterns for the locomotive and wagon)
or separately, namely
the pattern for the locomotive only
or
the pattern for the wagon only
(which can also be used, for example, as a circus wagon or site trailer).

Little girls are always delighted when they get new clothes for their Barbie dolls, because a Barbie can never have enough dresses. Self-crocheted clothing has its own special charm, because it is much higher quality than store-bought items and can be customized in color and style to suit the doll mom’s taste. A new wardrobe for the fashion dolls can be made from just a few bits of leftover yarn.
Here are a few suggestions from my shop:
  Mermaid Outfit

  Short Dirndl

Traditional outfit for Barbie and her friend Ken

  Beach set

  Pants and Sweater

  Holiday outfit

Big and small kids alike love finger puppets. You can crochet a small ensemble for a finger-puppet Punch and Judy theater here using your leftover yarn:

All the important characters are included: Punch, the crocodile, Grandmother, Gretel, Seppel, the witch, the robber and the police officer, the king and the princess.

Do your kids prefer animals?
How about these jungle residents?

Even very young babies love something soft to cuddle. And if it was crocheted by Mom or Grandma, it’s something truly special!
This soft cuddly bunny is crocheted using three different types of yarn: velvet yarn, plush yarn, and cotton. This gives the baby a very special tactile experience. The body was intentionally left unstuffed so the baby can grip it more easily.

This cute little cuddly bear is suitable even for babies. And the best part: it’s very easy to knit, even for beginners. Basic knowledge should be present.

You’ll need a few cotton yarn scraps, and you’re ready to get started.

The knitting pattern is easy to understand, written without abbreviations, and print-friendly.

Food for the play kitchen—toddlers ages 2–3 and up especially love it. My granddaughter plays with it every day and cooks meals for her dolls and teddy bears.

There are noodles, vegetables, toast with butter, and a fried egg.

Everything is very easy to crochet, even for beginners (with basic knowledge).

This little shopping bag also makes a nice gift for toddlers. It’s big enough to comfortably fit a banana and an apple inside—for example.

The pattern for the carrot and lemon is included, too. Of course, the bag also works wonderfully as gift wrapping.

Everything is very easy for beginners to crochet—basic knowledge required.

This kindergarten shoulder bag has an adjustable strap in 4 different lengths. My granddaughter got it now at age 2.5 and absolutely loves this bag. It’s perfect for storing all the treasures discovered while out and about.

A sturdy stitch technique was used here, which can also be embroidered nicely. Some crochet experience is recommended. Everything is well explained in the pattern.

How about a picture / door sign for the kids' room?
A little crocheting, a little crafting, and the collage is ready for a little girl.

You don't need much material at all: leftover cotton yarn, watercolors, scissors
and paper—you probably have those at home. Add a piece of wire and pliers,
a pen for writing with flourishes—you usually have that on hand, too.
Then just add a stretched canvas or a picture frame, and you're ready to start.

I'll describe in detail how to crochet the dress and hat and how you can decorate the picture.

Have fun
Best, Caro

Here are a few patterns for Christmas gifts for children
Elegant Baby / Children's Headband
Optional: The baby / children's headband can be decorated with pretty little flowers. You can find the description in my existing patterns.

The angled hat with (or without) a pompom
brings joy to the child or adult wearing it and makes knitting it fun for you. The hat is very easy to knit and consists of three angled sections, one in the middle and two on the sides, so that the ears are covered.

How about a paper doll as a small Christmas gift? If you like this idea, I’d like to suggest this doll (approx. 25.6 cm tall) with the matching outfits for summer and autumn.

This classic game only needs to be printed out; cutting it out and folding it is part of the fun and a lovely activity for the Christmas holidays.

A little calf to cuddle and love makes a lovely gift even for the very youngest. The calf was crocheted with acrylic yarn and measures approx. 39 cm.
The crochet pattern is also ideal for beginners with basic skills, as in addition to the detailed description it also includes detailed illustrations.

For all boys, this knitted firefighter makes a great Christmas gift. Everyone loves him, and he really isn't too difficult to knit. He is knitted mostly in one piece and measures about 40 cm when knitted with yarn LL 115 m per 50 g and needle size 3–3.5. With a different yarn weight, he will turn out correspondingly larger or smaller.
You’ll find all further details in the detailed knitting pattern!

Is there a nicer Christmas gift for children than a lovingly handmade cuddly toy? A new friend they can tell everything to, play and laugh with, but also cuddle and cry with? Then you've come to the right place on my page, because I have designed many, many wonderful knitted animals that are just waiting to sit under the Christmas tree. The pictures give you a little preview – just have a look around!

I hope you have lots of fun knitting!

Baby Blanket Lilly
a wonderful gift for the tiniest ones

-- to the pattern --

The blanket with the sleeping mouse family brings a smile to everyone’s face.

The pattern describes step by step how you can crochet this blanket - only basic crochet skills are needed, so it is a lovely project for beginners. And for advanced crocheters, there are crochet charts for everything (the blanket and all appliqués).

The blanket is not only for little girls, but can also be easily changed for a boy - simply sew Baby Mouse’s bow on like Papa Mouse’s bow tie and choose different colors.

The blanket shown was crocheted using about 500 g of 4-ply gradient cake yarn (solid + gradient, yardage 190 m/50 g) and is approx. 95 cm x 95 cm.

Plus, in my Shop you’ll find crochet patterns for unicorn fans young and old, as a money-saving set with crinkle cloth and grasping toy and a music box.

Crochet pattern for a blanket

A blanket is suitable for any age. The little ones stay nice and warm, whether in the stroller, car seat, or in Mom’s arms. And even the bigger kids love lounging on the sofa, and that’s when a blanket like this comes in handy.

This blanket is started in the middle like a granny square and ends at the desired size or when the yarn runs out.

The pattern includes a crochet chart, written instructions for each individual round, as well as many pictures for comparison and better understanding.

I crocheted this blanket with Schachenmayr Regia Angora Merino (yardage 200 m / 50 g). I had quite a few leftovers, even some full balls of yarn left over, and used 250 g to achieve a size of 73 x 73 cm.

You can find the blanket pattern here. The pattern is very simple: double crochet, chain stitches, and slip stitches, and it will be crocheted quickly by Christmas.
