Mod’s question: Would you like more variety?

Dear users, dear authors,
here’s a question on our own behalf. Would you like more variety?

Here’s the current weekly structure:
Mondays: Thread for weekly plans, crafting goals, the weather update, lunch, etc. Plus a material or technique topic.
Tuesdays: Thread for the busy elves, plus a trend/design or chat topic.
Wednesdays: “Counting stitches” or another participatory project / chat topic.
Thursdays: Runoff vote/poll (current favorite craft, etc.) or another chat topic.
Fridays there is always a thread for weekend plans.

Monthly there is a thread for the Monday projects with titles, UFO Week, etc.

Plus, of course, occasional threads about yarn stash, leftover yarn, yarn purchases, Bobbel purchases, various crafting techniques, etc.

We also have promotional threads of all kinds and birthday threads, of course.

Is this structure okay with you?
Would you like more variety? A new weekly topic? A new monthly topic?
Any topic requests?
What topics are currently on your minds?

Mod note:
Any of you can start a thread at any time and ask something, share something, etc. It would be great if you started more topics too.
Advertising is only allowed in the threads designated for that purpose.

I think topic suggestions are a good idea.

Without details or information about your topic requests, I can’t implement them.

It would be nice if customer requests could be asked about every now and then. I know we’ve had threads like that before, but they’re so hard to find again.

I always seem to fall on deaf ears, but KALs/CALs are awesome ;) in my experience.

Something like this?
- What customers expect from a pattern.
- When would you definitely not buy a pattern?

CALs and KALs aren’t ideal because you usually have to buy the patterns for them. For forum events, it’s better if participation doesn’t require a fee. A CAL or KAL in the forum also amounts to self-promotion for the author in question, which puts other authors at a disadvantage.

Yes, maybe even more specifically: What do you prefer to make—clothing, accessories, home decor, or amigurumi? Or: Are you looking for very specific patterns, or do you happen to see something you absolutely want to recreate? What patterns are you missing?

But we just had that poll about when people buy patterns, didn’t we?

These topics are important to the authors because they can use the feedback to improve their patterns. That benefits everyone.
That’s why I think it’s great that you keep participating in these kinds of topics.
