Well then, I’ll just go ahead and start…

About two years ago, I was looking for a pattern for some specific baby clothes. That’s how I ended up at crazypatterns via a search engine, and I was thrilled by the variety. I especially liked that I could ask the authors directly if there was something I didn’t understand.

These were exactly the kinds of patterns I’d been looking for—where everything is described in detail and even illustrated. I just don’t find the short patterns—like the ones in magazines—very helpful at all.

In early 2017, I started creating my own designs, and I’ve been very happy to be one of the authors here ever since. Yes, I really feel at home here.

I also stumbled upon this site by chance. Since I don’t have time to take a sewing class and there are great tutorials online, I started looking for simple sewing patterns.

I’m totally thrilled that there are so many patterns here—not just for sewing. I also really love the discussions here in the forum. There are lots of tips and tricks.

I wanted to try my hand at “selling patterns” and ended up staying here because I liked the terms.

For me, any sales platform that charged (or charges) listing fees was (and is) out of the question.

I also appreciate that there’s a forum here that offers a place to exchange ideas.

I also came across Crazypattern by chance. At first I just browsed and sometimes downloaded a free pattern; later I created an account and bought something now and then.  That’s how I got back into crafting after many years.

Even today, I still enjoy buying patterns here, even though I write some myself. I especially like that such wonderful connections have developed here.

In early 2017, my mom gave me a newspaper clipping with an article about Petra Perle and her shop in Munich. So I Googled Petra and found the link to Crazypatterns on her website. Until then, I had no idea that it was possible to buy and sell patterns this way. I was immediately hooked, and I knew right away that I wanted to sell patterns here in the future, too. I think Crazypatterns is just great—thank you so much for these opportunities!

I actually ended up here in 2016 when I was looking for a forum where I could ask something.

Yeah... I ended up here, and I’ve stayed here ever since.

I was specifically looking for another way to sell my craft patterns and came across crazypatterns. It went so well that I now only sell here—and only buy here, too.
I really like the platform; I enjoy chatting with other authors and customers, and I find the non-advertising threads interesting and enriching. The varied promotional threads are a wonderful opportunity for me to showcase my “little treasures.” You get used to good things very quickly and take them for granted, but when I think about it now—this platform, with all its possibilities, is actually absolutely unique and brilliant... :-).
