Hello,

I'm doing pretty well. I just have a bit of a headache.

The weekend was really great. My daughter's
birthday party was a huge success.

This week will hopefully be a bit calmer. We don't have any plans.

My crafting goal is to get my soul warmer
finished this week and then get started
on the 6 additional unicorn keychains.

The weather is good. The sun is shining here, but it's not quite that warm.

For lunch we just had bread. Tonight we're having pumpkin soup. I'm
looking forward to that.

Best, Heike

I baked banana bread this morning.

Then I studied a little Japanese—I’ve been doing that as a hobby for a few years now.

Other than that, I’m continuing to crochet the “soul warmer.”

I’m doing great so far—the weekend was pretty exhausting but also really nice.
My first flea market was a success: good weather, great organization, nice people, and I even sold quite a few things. I was especially happy that the Tunisian-crocheted pot holders were so popular—I could have used more of those :-)
The birthday party was also lovely and went on for a long time, so I needed Sunday to recover.

This week I’m going to clean out my closet and redecorate the apartment. The car also needs to go in for its inspection.

It would be nice if I could crochet my poncho a good bit further without having to rip it out.
I want to finish my new pattern—let’s see what my assistant (the little tomcat) has to say about that. The weather here is mixed—sometimes sunny, then cloudy again—but I find it quite pleasant after the hot days.

We always have a hot meal in the evening, and today I made stuffed bell peppers with pasta on the side.

Have a great week, everyone!

We’re having chili con carne tonight. My husband asked for it. :-)
I hope it’s not too spicy—I can’t really taste much right now :-)
This cold is slowing me down a bit right now. On top of that, I’ve had a toothache today. But I’ve already been to the dentist—he drilled the tooth, and now everything’s fine.

My parents are out right now, Anton has fallen asleep, and I can crochet

Petra, I’m glad the flea market sale paid off for you!

Sandra, I hope you feel better soon—just be glad that your sense of smell and taste is only temporarily out of commission. I’ve hardly been able to smell anything for years now (I’m undergoing treatment). I used to love cooking, but without a sense of smell, it’s just no fun.
The weekend was very hectic, and I’m glad it’s over (who can say that?)
The weather here is dry but cloudy. It’s supposed to reach 24 degrees today, but our garden is almost ready for winter. The hedge needs to be trimmed again, and some of the plants that have finished blooming will be cut back, while others will be left standing or lying on the ground as winter protection. The pool is already closed because no one has been in it for weeks.

Today we’re having chicken fricassee with rice—my favorite meal.
I’m still working on my blanket every spare minute because I already have 5,000 other ideas in my head, but I won’t start them (one after the other) until the blanket is finished.

Oops, sorry—this has turned into a novel....

My weekend was nice, but as always, much too short.
I gave my mother-in-law the elephant bag, and she was absolutely thrilled.

This week we want to finally clear the garden of weeds. (We have about 300 square meters of open space that is/was full of weeds... The hot weather was bad for the lawn and great for weeds.)
On Friday we're going out to eat at a very good restaurant, and I'm really looking forward to it. (We gave the voucher for a meal together at that restaurant in the elephant bag.)

As for crafts, I already reached my first goal yesterday: I finished a curtain for my mother. It still needs to be starched and blocked :)
Otherwise, I still want to make a hat for my grandma and type up a pattern.

The weather is nice! Always around 25° and sunny in the afternoons :)

And for lunch yesterday I had soup (as I actually do almost every day). It's good for my figure, and then in the evening I cook a proper meal.

@Arni: I hope you feel better soon! :)

Good morning
Mel, I can’t imagine how difficult it must be without a sense of smell. I can understand why you don’t enjoy cooking anymore.

You poor thing.

Today I’m taking it really easy. We’re not going to Anton’s music class—I don’t want to infect anyone.
Later, my mother-in-law is coming over to take Anton for a walk again, and I’ll be crocheting. Wonderful

Our long weekend with the grandkids was wonderful: gorgeous weather, lovely hikes, a pleasant youth hostel with good food…

Oh Christina, you always have such great photos from your hikes. I love the mountains, too. They’re just so far away from Hamburg.

Thanks, Sandra. I’ve never seen the slopes this red before (blueberry bushes) — it’s just spectacular!
