If you want to crochet while watching TV, you need (at least at the beginning) simple patterns without many increases and decreases or color changes. You don't want to have to count much. This origami bag in Tunisian simple stitch is perfect for that. You'll get the hang of the simple stitch quickly, even if you've never done Tunisian crochet before, because everything is explained in detail in the pattern. You don't need to worry about increases and decreases, because first you just crochet a rectangle, which is then folded accordingly. The decorative border is then crocheted conventionally again.
You can crochet the bag in any size you like. It's best to use cotton for this, as it isn't as stretchy as acrylic yarn, for example. If you also use gradient yarn, you don't need to worry about color changes; the play of colors comes all by itself from the skein.Click here and you'll go to the pattern!

This poncho made from sock yarn is great for knitting while watching TV. And it’s super practical because your hands and arms stay free while you’re wearing it. I’ve already experienced that in the kitchen. It’s also so lightweight that you can easily carry it in your bag and pull it on when needed.

These Halloween window garlands are so easy to make that you can even watch a mystery show while you’re at it.

All the garland elements are cut out of cardstock and threaded onto the Perlon threads. The garlands shown are each about 85 cm long, but can be adjusted to suit your taste and needs. The garlands are also very well suited for beginners.

The elegant loop scarf has a timeless pattern and is reversible. It works up quickly in crochet, has an easy difficulty level, and should be no problem for a beginner. The following basic crochet skills should be known: slip stitch, chain stitch, yarn over. For a loop scarf with diameter: approx. 80 cm, height: approx. 20 cm you will need:
• Yarn in one or more colors (3 x 50g approx. 140m, 75% pure wool, 25% polyamide) • Crochet hook size 1.75 - 2.0     One click - to the pattern

Quattuor Scarf—not just for men
in vibrant colors, it’s a scarf for the whole family

-- to the pattern --

The Quattuor Scarf is a great project for watching TV; the pattern may look complicated, but it’s actually very simple and perfect for crocheting on the side.
Only basic crochet skills are required, so even beginners will quickly achieve great results. For more advanced crocheters, there’s also a crochet chart .
Otherwise, as always, the pattern is generously illustrated and includes step-by-step instructions.

The scarf shown here was crocheted using approximately 350g of 4-ply gradient cake yarn.

This pattern is also TV-friendly, as the rows are quite long and the pattern repeats after just a few rows. For ambitious beginners with a solid foundation in crocheting, this scarf is a great project. As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and includes a detailed description as well as a crochet chart .

The scarf shown was crocheted using 150g of 4-ply cake yarn.

This “fat loot” is crocheted using only single crochet stitches, and it was made right in front of the TV.

Perfect for beginners who want an original snuggle spot for their kitties; this “fat loot” also makes a great cuddly pillow for people.

This decoration also doesn’t require much attention and can be made while watching TV.

The autumn leaves are made from cardstock and translucent paper and measure about 16 to 20 cm. If you know how to use a craft knife, you’ll be able to make these leaves with ease.

Timeless Baby Blanket Made from Merino Wool

This is the ideal knitting project for watching TV. The yarn is thick, the pattern is straightforward—that makes it wonderful to knit on the side. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you make progress.

The result is an enchanting, elegant, and timeless baby blanket made from warm, cuddly merino wool. It helps regulate temperature and reliably keeps babies or (young) children warm. You can choose the size yourself. I knitted two sizes for you (90 x 90 and 60 x 60), the most common sizes for babies. But you can easily knit other sizes too.

The knitting pattern is perfect for beginner knitters, as I explain and show everything in detail. You’ll find more information by clicking on the heading.

I hope you enjoy this knitting project and get a beautiful result—one that the baby in your family, or the baby of a dear friend for her baby’s birth, will surely be especially happy about.

Warm regards from "Ina strickt"

Square Crochet Rug in Any Size

Another TV-friendly project is this crocheted rug. It alternates between exactly two rounds. This rug is more about perseverance than advanced crafting skills. We generally crochet with 3 strands of yarn and a thick crochet hook—that way you make quick progress and don’t have to keep looking at your work. It’s a simple pattern that’s perfect for crocheting while watching TV.

I always enjoy choosing the colors. With each round, the rug gets prettier and takes on a new look.

The back is rubberized so it stays in place without slipping. The crochet pattern is ideal for beginners. You can find more information by clicking on the headline.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project—Ina

Crochet Pattern: Colorful Rug

If you’d rather crochet a round rug, here you go. It’s at least as decorative as its square relative. I even like the round one a little bit better.

Here, too, you can use up all your colorful leftover yarn. It’s very easy to crochet and therefore also perfect for an evening in front of the TV. If you click on the heading, you’ll find more information about materials, size, etc.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project. Yours, Ina

Like my Halloween garlands further up, this pop-up card also has many elements (in this case, just flowers and circles) that are very easy to cut out while watching TV. Putting the elements together does require a bit of concentration, but it goes very quickly and can be done during commercial breaks.

This birthday card is made from cardstock and construction paper and measures approximately 21 x 10.5 cm. The card is also well suited to beginners with some crafting experience.

Soul warmers are simply the best companions in every season.

The combination of 2 patterns brings liveliness into play.
The edging is worked at an angle in a simple way, creating the creative “blazer effect”.

The cut of the soul warmer requires no decreases or increases at all...
... making it absolutely recommended for beginners too!

A detailed description guides you row by row through the crochet process.
For clarification, 3 charts in crochet chart form can be found in the pattern.
In addition, 3 diagrams help - step by step - as the shrug takes shape.

This pattern is designed for sizes S/M/L/XL.
However, the pattern explains exactly how the soul warmer can easily be
adapted to any size.
The included cut and the gauge help with that!

And here’s the pattern and more details...

The next fall/winter season is sure to come.

With this wonderfully warm scarf collar, nothing can happen to anyone—man or woman—on cold days...
... and it’s trendy, too!
The beautiful relief pattern adds stability and a braided texture!

Once you’ve crocheted the pattern repeat, you’ll have the hang of it—
even beginners will enjoy this pattern!

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
To make things clearer, the pattern includes 1 chart in crochet chart format.
In addition, a template with an integrated diagram helps you through the crochet process.

When laid flat, the scarf has a size of about 27 x 96 cm.
However, it can easily be made smaller or larger as needed.
The included template and the gauge help with that!

And here’s where to find the pattern and more details...

Beautiful colors + simple pattern + great cut = a snood you just have to have!

This loop scarf in a tartan look appears sophisticated, yet is so easy to make,
that it is also suitable for beginners !

The circumference is about 80 cm, and the height is approx. 50 cm.
However, the included template and the gauge make it possible to adjust the size individually.

You will also find a chart of the color scheme as well as a detailed description in the pattern.
In addition, extensive photo documentation helps guide you through the knitting process.
The tartan technique is also described and illustrated in detail.

And here’s the pattern and more details...
