When do you start working on Halloween and Christmas?

Dear users, dear authors,
When do you start working on your designs for fall, back-to-school, Halloween, Advent, Christmas and New Year’s Eve?
Let me know.

I’m more of a “year-round” kind of person.
Whenever I find something nice and the timing works for me, I crochet it and put the finished piece in the big “I’ve-got-something-ready” box.
That way, things don’t pile up at the “actual” times, because that’s when the “can you quickly make me one?” requests always come in.

Good question. I’m more of a spontaneous person myself. I know I should be preparing Christmas stuff right now. But honestly, with temperatures over 30 degrees in the shade, am I supposed to be making something Christmas-related? I’ll do that later and set it aside for later use.

I feel exactly the same way. I’ve already been brainstorming Christmas ideas all week. But I’m not really in the mood yet… somehow, that spark is still missing…

Since Christmas catches me off guard every year, I’ll
panic again in November and start pulling all-nighters

I’ve added a pattern or two to my favorites list and am already looking forward to getting started.
But first, I’m fulfilling a request from my niece and am currently crocheting a unicorn for her. After that, it’s time for a cute fall wreath, and then the Christmas decorations can come...

I always kind of freak out when I see Christmas stuff in the CP preview ;-) ... honestly, I don’t want to deal with that in July, especially when it’s over 30 °. I’ve just started a very summery tunic instead, which suits better. :-)

You’re actually supposed to work ahead of the season. But I can never seem to pull that off either. It just feels so weird.
I’ve made a firm resolution, though, to start this year as soon as the first speculoos cookies show up on supermarket shelves.
And that can’t be too far off now ... haha ...
