The Advent season will be here again sooner than you think; here are a few designs from my shop stjerne61 that can help you start preparing for the Christmas season.

Crochet Pattern Advent Calendar Frau Holle

This Advent calendar is not only opened every day, it is also filled every evening. This makes the surprises even more personal and
they can be tailored spontaneously to the wishes of the person raiding it.

An Advent calendar for the whole family: each day someone else fills the pocket or attaches a nice message to the clip on the door.

As a winter door wreath, Frau Holle is also a lovely decoration for a door or wall before and after Advent.

Money Gift as Christmas Decoration

Santa has a big load of laundry and no desire at all to wrap presents, so this year he is filling his gift sack with banknotes. This makes impersonal money gifts go over twice as well, because after the sack has been emptied, everything is still a funny decoration. Leftover yarn is enough to make it.

Crochet Pattern Christmas Stocking

Handmade with love, this Christmas stocking will delight not only children, it offers space for little surprises
and also looks great as a decoration.

All patterns are beginner-friendly and written without abbreviations.

The heavenly angel orchestra is, of course, especially perfect for Advent and Christmas, but I think angels can be used as decoration all year round.
These adorable musicians can be crocheted in no time from a few bits of leftover yarn and look great anywhere. Even individually as guardian angels, on a nightstand, or as a keychain, a little angel like this will bring lots of joy.
You can find the crochet pattern for it here!

If you want to give money as a gift for Christmas, why not crochet this funny reindeer coin purse to go with it!
For this you’ll need
  • a small purse clasp (e.g., from Prym),
  • about 25 g cotton or fluffy yarn in beige, and
  • scraps in brown, white, red, and black, as well as a
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook.

This Santa Claus hides under a bunny costume in the spring and summer! That way, you can use this original reversible doll all year round. When Advent comes around, just quickly turn the bunny inside out, and out pops Santa Claus!
The reversible doll isn’t hard to crochet and is a fun, varied project that you’re sure to enjoy. I crocheted it using Catania cotton and some white fluffy yarn.

Reindeer Egg Cup Crochet Pattern

This cute and funny pair of reindeer will brighten up any breakfast table and put a smile on your face first thing in the morning ;-). The egg cups are real eye-catchers and also make great gifts! What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20g of brown yarn suitable for a 2mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
  • Scraps of light brown yarn (for the antlers), also suitable for a 2mm hook
  • Scraps of red yarn (for the nose), also suitable for a 2mm hook
  • 2mm crochet hook
  • 6mm safety eyes
  • stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
Difficulty level: Easy. You should be familiar with the following techniques: making a magic ring, increasing and decreasing single crochet stitches, sewing the different pieces together, single crochet, slip stitches, chain stitches, and half double crochet. The crochet pattern is 18 pages long and includes step-by-step photos showing every step. I also show you how to sew the pieces together in the photos.

You’ll need a little time for this Advent calendar, so it’s best to download it right away!

The calendar is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 13 x 30 x 15 cm. It consists of 24 individual compartments that are glued together. It’s not difficult, but you’ll need to work very carefully and start crafting early enough. The calendar is very sturdy and can be reused multiple times, so the effort involved in making it is definitely worth it.

For small St. Nicholas gifts, I made this unusual gift packaging – there isn’t very much space inside, but it is more than enough for sweets, good-luck charms, or accessories!

The St. Nicholas shoe is made of cardstock and measures approx. 20.5 x 11 x 8.5 cm. With a little crafting experience, it can be recreated quickly and easily.

This fun trio is perfect for an Advent calendar! The finger puppets
Snowman, Santa Claus and Moose
can be quickly crocheted from a few bits of leftover yarn. Every child will enjoy them! But you can also tuck small vouchers into the finger sleeve. Then the finger puppets themselves are the “doors.” (You can find even more finger puppets here:

You can never have enough Christmas tree ornaments! Here you get the pattern for four different ornaments: a bell, a star, a snowflake, and an angel . You can whip these up in no time using cotton yarn or glitter yarn, and then use them to decorate your Christmas tree, Advent wreath, or gift packages.

Especially during the Christmas season, the breakfast table should be decorated beautifully!

These cute egg cozies are not only a great decoration, but also extremely useful, because they keep the eggs warm. This is especially important if you have a longer, more leisurely breakfast.

You can crochet the snowman, Santa, and Christmas angel using leftover yarn you already have in Christmas colors: white, red, green, gold, black (and skin tone). Basic crochet skills are enough. One tip: crochet beginners may want to skip the fuzzy yarn and work with regular cotton yarn instead.

You can find the pattern here!

This unusual gift packaging is also intended for St. Nicholas Day, but it has significantly more room for gifts than the shoe above.

This sporty, elegant lace-up boot is made from photo cardstock and measures approx. 22 x 21.5 x 9 cm. You should definitely have some crafting experience for this and not shy away from a small challenge.
