Crochet a cozy neckerchief for babies and children

Click here for more info and pictures

You can make this wonderful everyday basic yourself really easily and very quickly. It is worked in two layers and nestles gently around the neck like a turtleneck. On cooler days it works great as a scarf substitute; for teething children, the cotton version can also
be used as a drool bib.
Thanks to the practical snap fastener, it can be closed at the back of the neck in no time.

A great beginner project! It certainly won’t stop at just one scarf. You simply need several of these - one in every bag!

Tip: This scarf is a really wonderful companion for a seaside vacation! After all, it can often get pretty windy there, even in summer...:-)

Although the weather is really great right now, it’s still quite chilly in the mornings on the way to daycare, isn’t it?  What could be better than a sweater vest! Of course, in a super fashionable look!

With this pattern you can knit a trendy striped sweater vest for children (1 to 3 years)!

Click here and you’ll go straight to the pattern with lots of info and photos!

What’s special about this pattern?

  • The armband is knitted on directly here in garter stitch.
  • The side slits are also set off in garter stitch pattern—that makes the look even sportier and more modern.
  • The two specified yarns (summer and winter baby yarn) have exactly the same gauge! So you can knit with the same pattern using both qualities—depending on your taste and the season!
The sweater vest is described in detail in 3 sizes (you don’t have to calculate anything yourself here!)

  • Size 80 (1 year)
  • Size 86 (18 months)
  • Size 92/98 (2-3 years)

Have fun knitting!

WEEKEND QUESTION
What does Santa Claus do in the summer?

Santa Claus especially likes to use the summer break for doing laundry; everything can go on the line to dry, and then it’s all ready again for the Christmas season.

Even though Advent is still a little way off, you can already use the summer break now and crochet leftover yarn into original Christmas gifts. One weekend is plenty for that.

This original packaging makes money gifts more personal and is still a fun decoration after the sack has been emptied.

Crochet pattern: money gift Christmas decoration

The pattern is well suited for beginners and written without abbreviations.
As befits Christmas items, there is currently a 10% summer discount

Why should you only crochet a reindeer in winter?
That’s right, there’s no reason for that :)
This cute little guy loves summer just as much as you do!
Besides, now is actually a great time to prepare already. If you crochet one reindeer every weekend, you’ll have a whole herd by wintertime.
Using different yarns will also give you different sizes, so get started right away!

You can find more “summery” animals in my shop!
