For anyone who wants to explore the Tunisian simple stitch in the garden, I recommend the pattern for this origami bag as a good practice project. The Tunisian simple stitch is very easy and is explained in detail in the pattern.

You don’t have to worry about increases and decreases, and you don’t have to think about color patterns either—the color gradient comes from the skein itself. This way, you can focus entirely on the new technique and end up with a great shopping bag. Soon you’ll know the basic stitch by heart and can then relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.
The crocheted border in a contrasting color and the handle are then crocheted in the usual way.

You can also easily crochet the Hippy seahorse right in the garden. All you need is some gradient sock yarn. For the comb, I used some leftover sponge yarn, but you can also use eyelash yarn or cotton.
The seahorse isn’t hard to crochet, since each round is described in detail.
Pick out a gradient yarn in your favorite colors and get started right away!

The pattern is available here!

Funny not only in World Cup colors:

Crochet Pattern Bottle Outfit Black-Red-Gold

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

“Bottle petticoat” for her and “bottle suit with bow tie” for him.

We need per bottle
approx. 25 g per color, so approx. 75 g of a yarn for crochet hook size 2.5. Pretty much any yarn is suitable as long as it is not listed as thicker than for hook size 3.0.
Also: measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for sewing in ends, a stitch marker is helpful, and of course standard wine or sparkling wine bottles.

Both patterns are included in one PDF and are explained in detail with photos over 15 pages.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, crocheting in rows and rounds, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. Front and back post double crochet are explained and shown in photos.

Otherwise, there is now a free PDF Crochet Basics (click me).

All these flowers are made from a single material—cardstock. This type of paper comes in so many colors that you can create countless flower variations with beautiful color gradients or unusual color combinations—to suit your taste and always match your project.

The pattern includes template drawings for 3 flower shapes, each in 5 to 7 sizes ranging from about 3 to 7.5 cm, as well as circle templates for the flower centers. The flowers are very easy to make and are ideal for beginners as well as for crafting with children.

ruthk, I love origami (my grandson, who’ll be nine soon, does too, by the way), so I think your bag is absolutely wonderful!
It’s right at the top of my to-do list, since it’s also easy to make on the go. I even take some needlework along in my hiking backpack!

When you're dozing off on a lounge chair in the garden, you may quickly start wishing for a comfortable head cushion. You can knit the cover for it yourself. You'll need two colors of cotton with a yardage of 140 m per 50 g and 3.5 mm knitting needles. The interwoven pattern is explained both in writing and in a knitting chart.

You can find the pattern here.

(Expert tip: Just don't use yellow yarn—it attracts insects!)

If, like me, you also enjoy doing crafts in the garden in the summer, I recommend my craft bucket. All around the outside there are lots of pockets for crochet hooks, scissors, a ruler, glasses, etc. The yarn and your current craft project go into the bucket. That way you always have everything together that you need right then. You can settle down with it in any shady spot in your garden. No more searching, and everything is always neatly together — leaving more time for crafting.

The bucket is crocheted from colorful leftover acrylic yarn and a size 3.5 crochet hook.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project and using it later. I also like to give it as a gift to a dear crafting friend. Everyone has always been delighted ;-)

Best wishes — yours, Ina

Decorative and practical at the same time, this craft basket with colorful bobbles is nice and large and offers space for your current craft supplies. It is crocheted from standard acrylic yarn in your favorite colors. Even crochet beginners can manage it very well, as I explain and show everything in great detail.

Best regards and have lots of fun with this project, which you can also crochet nicely in the garden. Yours, Ina

This is my third suggestion for your garden: a little basket for your handmade projects. It feels right at home indoors and in the garden and looks quite decorative. It makes crafting twice as much fun. You can also give it as a gift filled with goodies :-)

You can make the basket in your desired size—with or without a handle. The base is worked in two layers and is nice and sturdy.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project and beautiful results—yours, Ina

Yesss... finally outdoor crochet again.

When the sun is shining outdoors, I prefer to crochet smaller things that don’t sit warm on my lap.
Summery and not too time-consuming, for example, is this crocheted lighthouse—pure vacation vibes!

Are you creative and want to bring your own ideas into your crochet project? How about these 10 finger puppets from the puppet theater? The pattern is designed to leave you plenty of room for your own ideas.
Of course, you can also crochet the 10 figures exactly according to the pattern, but if you like, you can vary the hairstyles and clothing however you want.
You can also use up small colorful cotton leftovers, so your stash of leftover yarn gets smaller. And with the finished ensemble, you can play imaginatively and creatively and keep inventing new stories.
You can find the pattern for all 10 finger puppets here in a value bundle!
