At Pentecost, you gradually start dreaming of sun and sea...
Shells are always a wonderful decoration. These look deceptively real. You can crochet them yourself using just a few colorful leftover yarn scraps. The richly illustrated pattern describes 3 different types of shells. By using different colors and yarns, you can vary them even more. Almost any yarn is suitable.
Here’s the pattern!
If you want to create a whole underwater landscape, Hippy the seahorse goes perfectly with them:

Hippy is crocheted with doubled sock yarn with glitter and a color gradient. Inside the body there is a bit of pipe cleaner wire so the tail curls nicely. With the suggested yarn, the seahorse will be about 24 cm tall. (If you would like Hippy to be a little smaller, you can simply use a single strand of sock yarn and a thinner hook.)

And if you want it to be really fairytale-like, of course Marina the mermaid is a must!

After all, Marina is Hippy’s best friend! She is about 40 cm tall. The light blue fishtail is threaded with glitter strands. Marina has covered her breasts with shells, and magnificent water lilies decorate her hair.
