Weekend Plans: Have Fun

Do you have anything nice planned for the long weekend with the extra day off and the May Day holiday? Let me know.

Here, we don’t call it a “bridge day” but a “window day.” I find names like that so promising.
Unfortunately, though, I have to go to work. My kids have school; only my husband has the day off. He wants to use the day to install the new pool pump. The cold winter finished off the old one.

This afternoon, I’d like to sit quietly in the garden and keep crocheting my shawl.
And I’m going to insist on that for at least half an hour before everyone descends on me because they want something. By then, I should have my “tank” refilled—unfortunately, it’s been completely empty by now this week.

Tomorrow we’re going shopping. The kids need summer clothes, and my son wants to go to Shopping-City-Süd because he wants to dress stylishly. It’s important to him that he gets cool clothes.
I understand that; for me, it’s especially important that I get comfortable clothes. They can definitely be cool, too—but they shouldn’t pinch or dig in anywhere.

Pe-ka: Why is it called a “bridge day”? Where does that come from?

I started a new exercise class today. It’s called “fIT with Baby.” You exercise around the little ones. It was exhausting but fun.

I can’t tell right now who’s more annoying—Anton or my husband. One is teething, the other has a headache :-(((


Tomorrow I’m taking a baby first aid course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. That means my husband will be alone with Anton for that long for the first time. He’ll have to make the baby food and so on. I’m curious to see how it goes.

In the evening, we want to go out to eat. On Sunday, we’ll do a little housework. My husband has Monday off, so we’ll have to clean the rest of the apartment and bake a cake. On Tuesday, our new neighbors are coming over so we can get to know each other.

So I probably won’t have that much time for crocheting. 

We’re spending the weekend with our Sicilian friends. He has a singing performance, and we’re going to film him. :-) I’m really looking forward to it.
