Crochet pattern for a cute little Easter basketIt works well both as a decoration and as a small gift basket.
Filled with a few sweets, this
little gift is sure to be appreciated. Or you can place the basket on the table to offer
sweets.
But even simply as a pretty decoration, the basket looks great with its
gorgeous woven pattern. Decorated with colorful Easter eggs and, for example, a
little bunny, it really stands out.
It’s 14.5 cm tall with the handle, measures 10 cm x 6 cm at the base, and is quick to crochet.Materials list:• approx. 35 g of brown cotton yarn and approx. 5 g of red cotton yarn
• Crochet hook size 3
• Yarn needle/embroidery needle
• Scissors
• Cardboard
• Sturdy wire or 3–4 pipe cleaners in a color similar to the yarn

The table runner in fresh spring colors works up quickly thanks to the airy filet crochet. This technique is explained in detail in the pattern. All you need to know beforehand are chain stitches and double crochets. There’s a charted pattern, but if you’d rather have each row described, you’ll find that in a table within the pattern as well.
The runner is crocheted using cotton yarn suitable for a 2.5 mm hook (e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr). (I used a 2.0 mm hook, though—this makes the pattern denser.) You’ll need about 150 g of the main color and 25 g for the border. The table runner will measure about 1 m x 34 cm. If you crochet a few more Easter bunnies or eggs, it can be even longer. If you crochet just one bunny and one egg, it becomes a placemat.
You can easily finish it in time for Easter! Get the pattern right here!

What would an Easter breakfast be without a breakfast egg? To make sure your eggs stay nice and warm, you definitely need pretty egg cozies. This chicken pair is not hard to crochet. The hen and rooster not only decorate the Easter table, but are decorative all year round. You can use up small amounts of leftover yarn for the two of them (here: Catania by Schachenmayr). For the rooster, you can use any colorful shades you like; for the hen, gray, white, or brown also work well. But why shouldn’t a hen be colorful for once? Let your imagination run wild!

With this colorful spring meadow—featuring the large placemat, the small coasters, the fun egg cozies, and the scattered flowers—breakfast will taste even better.

The large placemats also look very decorative in the center of the table.

All pieces are quick and easy to crochet and can be finished in time for Easter. Also very well suited for beginners with basic skills.

These beautiful egg cups decorate your breakfast table in every season, but filled with colorful Easter eggs, they look especially lovely.

The cups are made from photo cardstock, about 8 cm tall, and very easy to craft. But so that everything fits together in the end and the cups stand straight, you should work carefully here.

There’s a lot going on at the North Sea, because that’s where Julian and Kilian live—the stars of the harbor! While Kilian catches the biggest fish, Julian always has to settle for the small ones. He’s really fed up with that!

Egg cozies can also be knitted, like these:

Knitting pattern Egg Cozy BIGGI - quick and easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

..also an ideal way to use up leftover yarn.

Basic knitting skills are enough.
We knit in rounds with a set of double-pointed needles. I blogged a tip for casting on stitches with a set of double-pointed needles here (click me).
Decorations are possible as desired and according to your own creativity.

Materials:
Basically, any yarn can be used with a slightly smaller needle size than indicated on the label.

1 egg cozy: approx. 10 g – 15 g yarn (scrap) leftover yarn for decorating; here: set of double-pointed needles size 4.0 and crochet hook approx. 3.0 for “knotting in hair”; yarn needle for weaving in ends, sewing needle and buttons if needed, measuring tape, scissors.
Recommendation: embroider the eyes in black if the egg cozies are used as amigurumi for babies/toddlers.

Included in the PDF download:

  • Short pattern in text form, designed for yarns with approx. 105 m yardage per 50 g
  • Step-by-step illustrated pattern, designed for yarns with approx. 85 m yardage per 50 g
each knitted with a set of double-pointed needles size 4.0 (then the egg cozies turn out nice and dense and stand up on their own)

  • Photo tutorial “embroidering in duplicate stitch
  • Photo tutorial “knotting in hair with a crochet hook "
  • Separate PDF pattern for the “double cast-on
