Babies need warm feet. Here are two patterns you can use to make someone happy.

Knitting pattern for baby booties, 0-3 months     Children’s socks, 4-10 months

Light blue booties
Materials needed: 30 g white yarn, 30 g purple yarn or light blue, a scrap of black yarn, size 3 needles. I used Gründli Baby uni.
You knit them in ribbing and need to know how to pick up stitches from the edge. You have to knit 1 single hole for the cord, but it’s just a yarn over and very well explained.
Children’s socks:
This heel is no trouble at all to knit. The pattern is well described, and with this easy heel it’s also doable for beginners. Material: Gründl Hot Socks yarn, gray, 50 g, plus a scrap of colored yarn of your choice. You can of course knit the socks in your favorite color. Or make two pairs right away. Children need lots of socks, and the yarn keeps their feet wonderfully warm.

Scarf and hat are absolutely right, because it’s still snowing. These two items
Are knitted on two needles and work up quickly.

Knitting pattern for a baby scarf                                Knitting pattern for a newborn

Material needed for the scarf: 40 g yarn for needle size 4.5. 2 needles size 4.5. You will also need an appliqué of your choice.

The hat is knitted on two needles, so it is easy for beginners to knit. Of course, it can also be knitted on a set of double-pointed needles. Material: 30 g white baby yarn, a little violet, a little blue, a small amount of gray yarn, plus 1 set of double-pointed needles size 3.0. You will also need an appliqué.
Now have lots of fun crafting in your warm, cozy living room.

Handmaking something for a sweet new arrival is a very special joy!

Crocheted here seamlessly top-down (raglan from the top). A very special crochet technique creates a lovely round neckline. This little jacket closes especially well at the neck and doesn’t restrict the little one. With this jacket, baby is wrapped up
snugly warm and soft, while also looking simply
adorable...

Click here and take a look at more photos and a preview of the pattern

What is included in the pattern?

  • Sketch with measurements of the finished little jacket
  • General overview of the raglan-from-the-top method
  • Tutorial: crocheting double crochet with foundation stitches
  • professionally computer-created crochet chart of the yoke
  • precise written explanation of each individual row of the yoke
  • very generously illustrated, precise explanation of all the individual steps on the way to your enchanting baby jacket
  • Pattern length: 30 pages

The gauge is: 24 double crochet x 14.5 double-crochet rows = 10x10 cm

Skill level:
intermediate; however, the pattern is so detailed that even beginners with a little experience can give it a try

Have lots of fun crocheting!

How about a crocheted ball?

Crocheted from individual granny squares and then joined together into a ball. The cover is filled with a balloon. This way, you can easily wash the cover, and it dries quickly. The balloon is well protected inside the crocheted cover and won’t pop.

When it is only lightly inflated, the baby can grab it very easily. If it rolls away, the baby can crawl after the ball. And later on, it’s also great for playing with in the garden, for example.

Cotton yarn works best, but you can also use other types of yarn or leftover yarn. The pattern explains how to crochet the granny squares and how to assemble them properly to form a ball. Click here for the pattern

The tiniest ones will need mittens for a few more months so their little hands stay nice and warm.

With this pattern, you can knit baby mittens brilliantly easily and in no time at all!
No set of double-pointed needles, no purl stitches! Even as a beginner, you can make them easily and quickly!

The mittens are also a very popular gift - the parents who receive them will be absolutely delighted with this beautiful and very practical gift!

Click here for lots more photos and details!

The yarn is a classic - I’ve already knitted many miles of it!
You can conjure up a really wonderful, personalized accessory for your baby here, because the yarn comes in over 100 colors and
color gradients!

Why are these mittens so brilliantly easy and so great for beginners?

  • they are knitted entirely in garter stitch - so you only need to knit knit stitches
  • they are knitted only in rows back and forth and sewn together later (but you can hardly see it) – you do not need to work with a set of double-pointed needles here
  • at the end, you only need to weave in 2 ends per mitten - everything is knitted in one go and sewn together
  • the pattern is written in great detail and with lots of pictures - it’s important to me that every beginner has fun and success with it
  • you only need one skein for this project, and it works up super quickly - you can easily finish one mitten in an evening
  • the decrease by knitting two stitches together is explained explicitly and precisely in a photo tutorial
  • the only slightly tricky part is picking up stitches from the
knotted edge. I’ll show you that very precisely too: picture by picture and
step by step, you’ll manage it well even as a beginner!

Have fun knitting!

Something special:

Knitting pattern for a baby traditional vest, size 86/92, with intarsia cable

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Not just for Oktoberfest season...

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g gray merino wool + 50 g red merino wool, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, gauge according to the ball band: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needle 3.0–4.0; here: knitting needle 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, yarn needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern includes pictures.

The red cable on the back is made using intarsia technique (illustrated explanation is included) and requires a little time and skill - so I would not recommend it for beginning knitters.

The cable also looks lovely in solid gray; the whole piece is then knitted up quite quickly.
For knitting beginners, I therefore recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one color.

Sock Knitting Course for 4-ply yarn - all sizes for baby, children's, women's, and men's socks

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Little feet and big feet alike are happy to receive hand-knit socks.

This is an illustrated sock knitting course using baby socks size 15 knitted from 4-ply sock yarn, with charts for all sizes

Included in the download :

  • Detailed main PDF pattern with lots of pictures
  • hand-drawn sketches
  • Baby sock chart for sizes 15 - 20
  • Sock chart for sizes 22 - 47
Integrated into the main pattern is a short-form baby mitten pattern , since parts of the baby sock pattern can be used for it.

Don't be alarmed! It's harder to describe the process than to knit the socks.

Required materials:
4-ply sock yarn (wonderfully soft examples are Ferner "Lungauer Sockengarn" merino sock yarns or Austermann "Step" with aloe vera and jojoba, or "Comfort" with cashmere)

  • approx. 15 g for the baby socks,
  • approx. 10 g for the baby mittens,
  • for adult socks up to size 44: 100 g,
  • if larger than size 44, then 150 g is required.
set of double-pointed needles 2.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

This is trendy not just in the Alpine region:

Baby traditional-style knitted jacket size 50/56 incl. gauge conversion table

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

..THE traditional classic in the tiniest format..

For this easy-to-knit baby traditional-style jacket, we need approx. 100 g, e.g. Zimba Top by Schoeller+Stahl in classic traditional gray + 50 g (or leftover yarn) Regia 4-ply for the edging, knitted in traditional green, knitting needle size 3.0, and, if needed, a crochet hook size 3 - 3.5 for the decorative foundation chain on the front band.

The PDF pattern contains 15 pictures.

Also included in the download as a bonus is the simple version of my Excel table for quickly converting your gauge to your desired size (usable for all knitted/crocheted pieces, calculation program required, e.g. Excel or LibreOffice; the latter is available free online).

Basic knitting skills are required (i.e. these are not illustrated).
Required knitting skills: long-tail cast-on, knit stitches, bind off, increase stitches (from the strand between stitches), yarn over (for the buttonholes), knit 2 stitches together.

By the way: This jacket can also be knitted without sleeves (then crochet around the armholes in green once with single crochet) as a vest.

You can crochet this little companion for your brave dragon slayer yourself with the help of this pattern. All steps are explained in detail, and lots of pictures help you make it. For this great project you need: a 2–2.5 mm crochet hook, yarn; I recommend Mondial Bio Soft Cotton 50g–180 m. This yarn is made from 100% organic cotton, is very soft and tested for harmful substances, making it ideal for baby toys. (Or alternatively Katia “Candy” for Baby or Online Cotton Baby.) You can also use a different yarn, but you need to keep in mind that this will change the size of the cloth. You need: scraps of pink for the mouth, scraps of black for the eyes, mint with colorful speckles (color 291) for the underside of the cloth, the wings and the ears approx. 50g apple green (color 135) for the top of the cloth, the head and the legs approx. 50g aqua (color 522) scraps for the spots on the back, to crochet around the wings and to embroider the hair. If you use a different yarn, you may need to adjust the yarn quantities. A darning needle for weaving in ends, scissors, a row marker or a thread in a contrasting color to mark the beginning of each round, sewing thread in a matching color to sew on the head, spots and wings. Stuffing, crinkle foil for the wings, row marker. To crochet the comforter, you need to know the following: single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble crochet (tr), decreases, increases, slip stitch, magic ring, popcorn stitchYou can get the crochet set here

Go directly to the pattern here

The baby bodysuit is a true all-rounder that can be knitted in different color combinations or varied with patterns. There are hardly any limits to your joy of experimenting here. The thick yarn makes for quick results, and the raglan and short-row techniques provide varied and educational knitting fun, even for beginners.

This cute baby jacket comes as a set with a hat, for 3–12 months. Both can be knitted without seams and are very easy to make, even for beginners with basic skills. Any 6-ply sock yarn can be used here.

Click here for the knitting pattern for the baby jacket with hat.

And here is the matching baby pants in the same pattern, only with the wrong side facing out. The pants also have no seams and are easy to knit. The pattern is written in easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions and includes many photos.

A little baby hat is quick to knit. This one is inspired by the fairy tale of Rapunzel and has braids running lengthwise. You’ll need yarn (yardage 150 m per 50 g) in two different colors and 4 mm needles. The pattern is available in 3 sizes.

Here’s the hat.

Music box, Kalle the Octopus
a music box where no cord can wrap around little arms or legs. The pattern includes Kalle the Octopus with a hat, as well as 3 different fish
the little fish are all fitted with bells, rattles, or squeakers, giving every little one long-lasting playtime fun. Kalle the Octopus, together with his fish, combines a fun music box with cuddly toys; it encourages playing, learning, and grasping. Kalle the Octopus can also be hung as a mobile above the bed.
in my shop you will also find a short video about Kalle,
