Easily finished before Christmas:

Dish Sponge Ball with or without a Face plus Dishcloth - Crochet Pattern

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Still don’t have all your gifts ready?
Made with the popular dish sponge yarn (washable at 60°C in the dishwasher or washing machine), these pieces are quick to crochet.

Included in the download :
  • PDF crochet pattern for a dish sponge ball with an embroidered face (diameter approx. 7 cm)
  • PDF crochet pattern for a dishcloth (size: approx. 20 cm x 20 cm)
Both patterns include a short version and a detailed, illustrated pattern as well as crochet basics with all stitches used.

The embroidered little face gives the dish sponge ball a fun touch for gifts. If the ball (not filled) is pushed outward, it is a smiling dish sponge; pushed inward, it is a “Halloween face.” If left without a “face,” the ball also looks great as a Christmas ornament.

Materials for 1 dishcloth + 1 dish sponge ball:
approx. 50 g Rico Creative Bubble, 100% polyester, e.g. color 007 light blue + 50 g (or leftover yarn) col. 012 black, 50 g – 100 m, washable at 60°C in the dishwasher, crochet hook 4.0; scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
PLEASE NOTE: With this yarn, black is only suitable for embroidering or edging.
The dishcloth pattern also works wonderfully for crocheting potholders; in that case, please use 100% cotton yarn (potholder yarn) for heat resistance.

If you get started right away, your Christmas tree will be even prettier in time with a few glitter balls.

The 9 cm ornaments are made from photo cardstock and decorated with glitter liner. Making the individual pieces does take a little time and patience, but overall the balls are very easy to craft.

[Image removed] Kono, knitted and crocheted

My new project using the new Bobbel from Mister Twister. This Twister Bobbel is slightly twisted—at first you hardly notice it, but after a few meters it’s nicely twisted. Not too much, or else the yarn and the knitted piece will twist, but enough to make knitting or crocheting with it much easier. I’ve
tested it for crocheting, knitting, and even on a fine-gauge knitting machine. Everything works great.

The end result is a beautiful scarf that’s elegant and versatile to wear.

Materials :

  • Bobbel, such as Mister Twister, 3-ply, 1000 m length
  • a scrap of yarn of the same weight in a contrasting color (approx. 20 gr.)
  • 3 mm knitting needle and crochet hook
  • Scissors and a needle
Requirements :
  • Knitting: knit stitch and purl stitch
  • Crochet: chain stitches and double crochet

You’re guaranteed not to get bored while knitting this colorful, warm children’s jacket with a hood and pockets. The pattern is written so that the jacket fits sizes 92 to 104.

The knitting pattern, the top-down raglan shaping, how to incorporate the pockets, how to knit on the hood, and other details are clearly and precisely described in the 33-page pattern.

The jacket is knitted in one piece—top-down raglan—and has virtually no seams. Only the pockets need to be sewn on at the back on one side.

Recommended for experienced knitters!

You can also crochet little polar bear Björn as a "last minute" project using a few bits of leftover yarn. He is 9 cm tall, so you can use him as a keychain, bag charm, gift tag, Christmas tree ornament, or lucky charm. Or simply as a little pocket companion to love.
Here’s the pattern!

These baby pants are cozy and warm and knit up really fast. There’s also a matching hat. The set can be knitted with any 6-ply sock yarn.

The pants have no seams and are knitted in one piece. The pattern is easy to follow, even for beginners with basic skills. The pattern explains each step and includes plenty of photos.

A matching jacket will be available soon.

Here is the pattern for the matching baby jacket to go with the previous pair of pants, which is knitted from the same 6-ply sock yarn and also fits sizes 62 to 80.

The knitting pattern, consisting of knit and purl stitches, is very easy to knit, even for beginners with basic skills. The “purl-side” version shown here was used to match the pants. As you can see, the pattern looks great from both sides.

The best part: The baby jacket is knitted from the bottom up without any seams and can be finished quickly.

A round collar with many uses—for example, as a shoulder warmer. Very practical on cold days with sweaters that have a neckline. The collar can also be worn well as a turtleneck.

Best of all: This shoulder warmer can be finished quickly almost in passing, even by beginners.

You might even get the creative idea to use it as a baby skirt. ;-)
