I’m totally busy with Christmas market preparations...
I’m felting angels and elves, making little beaded angels, crocheting funny good-luck charms...
Oh... there’s still so much to do before the market takes place on the first and second weekends of Advent...

And “just on the side” (aside from the everyday family “madness”), I’m crocheting up various pattern ideas...

I’m currently hard at work writing patterns. But right now everything’s in English, so I’ll have to translate a few of them again.

I’m getting ready for the Christmas market on December 3, and I feel like the days are way too short right now.

Since every step leads to the goal, I’m thrilled to have reached my target of 30 sales for November.

Right now, I’m working on a knitted scarf for a Secret Santa gift.

Since I have such a “wool surplus,” I’m working on reducing it.
I wanted to knit a scarf for my husband. It was almost finished when I realized that the yarn was a little scratchy. Two days’ work down the drain—but then I had the idea that I could turn it into a sweater instead. The bottom part is now made from the scratchy yarn, and for the top, I found matching colors in other yarn. Now I’m knitting the sweater—it’s just taking a little longer.

I'm back after more than 3 weeks of a wonderful vacation.

Today I finished my monthly closing for October, read emails, replied to customers as far as possible, sorted other emails and prioritized them. I'll still be busy with that for the next few days.

• .. customer orders have piled up.
• .. the garden is crying out for fall cleanup.
• .. friends are waiting to meet up.
• .. inspirations from during the vacation need to be organized.
• .. and a knitting project in progress needs to be finished
• .. and, fighting my jet lag

But it'll all work out again.
While I'm at it, an idea: maybe add some kind of out-of-office notice so customers know they can't expect an immediate reply.

Things aren’t going well for me right now.
We’re planning to move on December 18. Boxes need to be packed. I’m getting sick, I have a fever, and everything hurts. It’s all just awful.  On top of that, I’m super sensitive right now and just can’t stop crying. Because I can’t get anything done. My husband has enough on his mind right now. He has to go to Asia before the move. I know he doesn’t mean it that way, but right now I’m craving some affection and understanding.

I’ll be so glad when this year is over

Grab a cozy ball of yarn and whip up something beautiful with it—preferably a cuddly pillow...so you can punch it, bite it, or scream into it whenever you want...

My day job is taking up a lot of my energy right now—I’m completely wiped out by the evening. Because of that, the new pattern is taking longer than planned. So, note to self for next year: prepare one or two patterns ahead of time so I have something in “reserve” during the busy periods at my main job.

I’m mostly just reading along here right now—sometimes I’m too tired to move my fingers across the keyboard... yeah, really, haha

The pre-Christmas countdown has started for us. Now it’s all about Christmas markets, ice skating, and waiting for the snow. But with temperatures hovering around +17 degrees, we might have to wait a while....

Yesterday, my husband got an invitation to come to our little one’s school. Nothing serious, but her dyslexia is really starting to show in class now. So now we have to work with her a lot more at home. She doesn’t really want to, but she goes along with it anyway. That means we have to put other things on the back burner for now—our little one always comes first.

By tonight, the Secret Santa gift will (hopefully) be completely finished. Then I’d like to start the color project. I already have everything I need at home. I just have to crochet it and write the pattern as I go.
