This colorful set of hat and cowl brings color to the dreary gray of the cold season. It’s knitted from cozy wool (baby alpaca blended with virgin wool) and is also great for beginners.

I experimented creatively with knit and purl stitches here, and the result is a cushioned stitch pattern. It looks like it’s double-knitted, keeping your head and neck cozy and warm.

As colorful and in as many variations as you like: The MALOU wrist warmers can be knitted plain, striped, or with color gradients, giving you a new look every time! And combined with the wonderful lace wave pattern, it becomes especially creative! But Warning: highly addictive!! Just try out different variations and colors - that way you'll also have great Christmas gifts ready right away!

Difficulty level: Advanced

MATERIAL:
- I used "Mille Colori Baby" by Lang Yarns and 4-ply sock yarns. You can use any 4-ply sock yarn with a yardage of approx. 190 -210 m/50 g; hand-dyed yarns are also great, e.g. Malabrigo Sock.
- 1 set of double-pointed needles size 2.5.

You can find the knitting pattern here: MALOU wrist warmers

Happy knitting from

Looking for a small project to work on in between?
These wrist warmers are perfect for that!

The simple yet sophisticated cable pattern is fun, and the result is simply delightful.
And if you like, you can get creative and jazz them up with rhinestones!

A detailed description guides you step by step through the knitting process.
A knitting chart also helps you work through the pattern repeat.

Also a lovely project for beginners who want to expand their skills!

The length of the finished wrist warmers is about 20 cm.
Of course, as always, the gauge is included.

Perfect, too, if you want to shrink your leftover yarn stash!

And here’s the pattern and more details...

A pretty little gift, not just in German colors:

Crochet Pattern Bottle Outfit Black-Red-Gold

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

.. an original gift wrap for wine and sparkling wine bottles—a real eye-catcher at any party.. for her, a “bottle petticoat,” and for him, a “bottle suit with bow tie,” crocheted.

Yarn leftovers can be used up wonderfully this way, because we need only about 25 g per color for each bottle, so about 75 g of a yarn for crochet hook size 2.5. Pretty much all yarns are suitable as long as they are not labeled for a hook size thicker than 3.0. We also need a tape measure, scissors, a yarn needle for sewing in the ends, a stitch marker is helpful (a contrasting thread will do, too), and of course standard wine or sparkling wine bottles.

Both patterns are included in one PDF and are shown in detail with pictures over 15 pages. The pattern is not a basic crochet course, but it does include a helpful link tip for those with less experience.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, crocheting in rows and rounds, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. Front and back post double crochet are explained and illustrated.

The colorful “Noah’s Ark” door wreath is an eye-catcher in any child’s room. It’s a very varied crochet project that never gets boring. You can work on it in small stages (the wreath, the individual animals) and let your creativity run wild. It’s a wonderful personal gift for a birth, a baptism, but also for a birthday or Christmas.
You can download the pattern here: Crochet the door wreath.

How about a few splashes of color around your neck? Maybe I should say “blotches of color”...
A crocheted scarf that is especially fun to make in colorful sock yarn and shines brightly from afar. The pattern is a simple mesh pattern with a few cables worked in between to add some variety. These are explained in a tutorial.
For materials, you’ll need 2 balls of sock yarn—and of course you can also use more subtle colors.

Here’s the pattern.

If you want to break with all traditions this time and decorate your Christmas tree in rainbow colors, then these ornaments are just right for you. But even if you want to stick with traditional colors or your favorite colors, you can easily adapt the ornaments to your color preferences.

The stars are made from photo cardstock, approx. 12 x 12 x 2 cm in size, and are easy to make with a little crafting experience.

Bangles or bracelets are the perfect accessory for any outfit and always catch the eye. Here, I’ll show you a special method for making stylish bangles quickly and easily with just a few materials.

All you need is an old PET bottle and some yarn (possibly a rhinestone chain) — and in no time at all, you’ll have a truly unique piece of jewelry. Also great as a gift or a small present.

The sophisticated pattern, the harmonious color combinations, and the pleasantly soft material make these pieces of jewelry special and unique.

Beautifully striped and colorful, this is a great bag. Perfect for a quick little shopping trip. Maybe also nice for the little ones to play with.
