The motif shawl "Glowing Hearts" is wonderfully suited for Bobbel yarn thanks to its beautiful gradient—that's what gives it its charm!

With about 450 m of 4-ply gradient yarn and a 3.5 mm hook, it has a wingspan of approx. 1.50 m and is suitable as a neck scarf for older children or adults.
However, the size can be varied very easily by using different yarn, a smaller/larger hook, or by adding/leaving out a few rows.

You should know the following: chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, double crochet

Here’s the pattern.

I hope you have lots of fun :)

Yarns with color gradients always look great over large areas—like a wide stole, for example. Click here for the pattern.

My original is knitted in cotton, but you can basically use any yarn you like. The pattern is also suitable for beginners, as it consists entirely of knit and purl stitches. Its appeal comes mainly from the colors.

This scarf looks very stylish in sock yarn with short color gradients. The colors further emphasize the horizontal ridges and also the rows with the holes in them. These holes are knitted in a very special way, which is explained in a photo tutorial.

You can find the pattern here.

The yarn for this knitted scarf has long color gradients, and the scarf stands out with a pattern of lace and cables. Don’t worry, it looks complicated, but it isn’t.

You can find the pattern here.

SNUGGLY SNUGGLE is easy and quick to knit, a long triangular shawl that I designed especially for gradient yarns. It looks really fantastic in thick NORO yarn, but of course there are many other great options. On the pattern page, I’ve listed several yarn alternatives.

The SWOOOSH hat can be knitted with any yarn you like, but I like it best in a gradient yarn combined with a solid color. Here I’m showing you my favorite hat from all sides—the gradient is actually just one skein of NORO wool!

By the way, Uncle Hermann’s wonderful romper was also knitted with gradient yarn. For it, I divided one 100-gram skein of NORO sock yarn and knitted the stripes alternately with the two skeins :-)

Here’s where you’ll find Uncle Hermann: CLICK!

Baby items can also be made in a color gradient, like this sleeping bag with harness slots

The “Autumn Evening” shawl is perfect for a gradient yarn cake. With a shiny lurex thread added, the shawl becomes an elegant stole for festive occasions and evening wear. Worked according to the pattern, it will be approx. 190 x 33 cm in size, but the size can be adjusted as desired.

The pattern includes both a description of the pattern repeat and a more detailed row-by-row description, which also includes written explanations and detailed photos. This means even less experienced crocheters can try their hand at the 4-row pattern.

This beautiful color gradient from light green through green and burgundy to dark red and black is my favorite color combination. And the best part is that it comes straight from the ball of yarn. I knitted a beautiful lace shawl, using 100 g of yarn, which can be worn elegantly with a dress or casually tied with everyday clothes.

The knitting pattern is also suitable for knitting and lace beginners who have not yet dared to try such delicate yarn. Be brave, it’s worth it. As a reward, you’ll get a really gorgeous shawl that will attract everyone’s attention.

I hope you enjoy the project - Ina

PS. Of course, it also works in other color gradients:

There aren’t just thin gradient yarns; thick winter yarns too (in this case: "Atzteca" by Katia) are perfect for expressive hats and scarves. In the picture you can see the Winter Set Andrea - I designed it for my friend Andrea because she wanted something very special: it had to be especially warm and especially beautiful. I fulfilled both wishes for her:

It’s warm because it is knitted in two layers. And what makes it special is the thick cable on the hat. The beanie shape lets you hide even a full head of hair underneath. The double-layer
ribbed brim is stretchy and automatically adjusts to the head circumference. The scarf can be made as a scarf or an infinity scarf.

The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters, as each step is shown and explained individually
and explained.

I hope you have lots of fun with the project and get a beautiful result - Yours, Ina

This beautiful asymmetrical shawl with its lovely pattern is not only easy to crochet,
but can also be worn/draped in many different ways ♥

It was crocheted with a Scheepjes Whirl (Lavenderlicious - hence the name). This gradient yarn is plied, which makes it wonderful to work with!

All you need is:
  • the pattern ;-)
  • a crochet hook size 3 or 3.5 (depending on your preference)
  • scissors and a yarn needle

Poncho "Cappuccino" - versatile, soft, and simply lovely to snuggle into.

Thanks to two cleverly placed buttons, this poncho is a true quick-change artist. Since the buttons fit through the lace pattern, there is no need to work in buttonholes - so the buttons can be fastened at any
desired spot - creating a wide variety of ways to wear it!

Two Woolly Hugs BOBBEL-COTTON (50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic, yardage = 800 m/200 g) in color no. 02 were used for the poncho.

Detailed description as a PDF file with text, crochet chart, and step-by-step photos.
