A pot holder that fits perfectly in a white kitchen: the sleeping cat. This pot holder is very easy to crochet because it consists mainly of circles. It’s crocheted in double layers so you can slip your hand inside. It was crocheted using Catania by Schachenmayr.

Snow-white winter children—that’s what these little snowflakes are, already looking forward to the moment when they can finally swirl through the clouds!
You’ll get a pattern for 3 different snowflakes, crocheted from white and silver yarn. The fluffy “doudou” yarn gives them their cottony-soft look. They are about 12 cm tall, and you can bend their arms and legs however you like.
Get the pattern for 3 snowflakes right here!

You can also crochet very simple Christmas tree ornaments using only white cotton yarn. This pattern shows you how to crochet 4 different Christmas tree ornaments (a bell, a snowflake, a star, and an angel). It’s very quick and easy, and you only need a small amount of leftover yarn.

Elegant in black:

Knitting pattern Cardigan Gita - sizes 36 to 42 One Size

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A knitted lightweight piece for every season – whether worn over or under something – simple, with an eye-catching collar area. Both patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar design requires a little care, so the difficulty level is: intermediate.

The illustrated pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 knitting needles. Because of the casual shape and stretchiness of the cardigan, one stitch more or less is not that decisive. If your gauge differs more significantly, please choose a larger or smaller needle size. The pattern does not include a knitting tutorial, but it does include relevant link tips.

We need
225 g KidSilk by Austermann, color 40 Emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, details according to the ball band: needle size 3–4, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage; alternative yarns: e.g. Kid-Seta (Schulana) or Kid Mohair or KidSilk (Adriafil) – the same quantity in each case for the total back length of approx. 71 cm knitted here. This material is knitted with yarn held double. Additional alternative yarns are listed in the pattern.

Used here: size 6.0 knitting needles, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, stitch markers, row counter if needed.

Who says knitted pieces can’t be elegant?
Far from it! This long top is the perfect companion for any candlelight dinner or trip to the opera!

The pattern is kept simple, but the special cut and the slit at the back create the effect!

This pattern is designed for sizes 36/38 and 40/42.
However, the included cut and gauge make it possible to make any size!

A detailed chart also guides you through joining the back and front pieces.

And here is the pattern and more details...

Cozy and soft..

Crochet pattern for a triangular shawl for any yarn

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For this triangular shawl for all seasons, you can basically use any yarn you like – the thinner, the more elegant.. Size: any.

For the size made here, approx. 70 cm x 162 cm, I crocheted with 350 g Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50 g – 120 m, needle size according to the label 3 – 4, here crochet hook 4.0. I would not recommend thicker yarn for visual reasons. I decided for myself not to block the shawl, because then the curves of the shell pattern stand out better –  but that is a matter of taste..

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, front post double crochet (explained).

The PDF pattern is illustrated on 15 pages, but it is not a crochet course. A link/video tip for a crochet course and more is included.

The PDF contains

  • in the first part, a detailed pattern with corresponding images,
  • in the second part, a shorter version, also with images, and
  • last but not least, a scarf/shawl variation in short form.
Difficulty level: easy to medium - no crochet chart - no gauge required
