Möbius scarves are trending again this winter

Choose your favorite colors - try the method:

3 Techniques - Knitted Möbius Scarf-Cowl-Headband

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Here, the basic principle and three cast-on techniques for knitting Möbius scarves/loops are introduced.

The PDF pattern is illustrated in detail and includes 2 patterns (see image).

Model 1 – Colorful - is a Möbius loop/scarf with a circumference of approx. 90 cm and a height of approx. 20 cm, which can be worn wonderfully in different ways as a shoulder warmer and neck warmer (see image). For this we only need 1 skein of Woolly Hugs Bandy, here color no. 7, 100 g – 210 m, 100% cotton, gauge according to the ball band: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm; circular knitting needle size 6.0 with a cable length of 1 m; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. If needed, leftover yarn of a slightly thinner, color-coordinated yarn (e.g. Record 210 – potholder yarn, here in green) and crochet hook 4.5.

Model II – Möbius collar in milky white fits wonderfully around the neck like a turtleneck, but can also be worn as a headband. This model makes a wonderful gift and can be knitted in just a few hours. For this we only need 1 skein of merino yarn, 50 g – 85 m, e.g. Merino 85 by Austermann or Schachenmayr, 100% merino, according to the ball band for needle size 6–7 and a gauge of 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm. Used here: circular knitting needle 6.0, cable length 80 cm to 100 cm; stitch marker; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Both models are worked in a simple reversible rib pattern.

These knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting in the round, knit stitches together, purl stitches together, yarn over, bind off. A basic knitting course is not included, but helpful links are provided.

Butt warmer here in pink:

Knitting pattern for the SOFTY sleeveless knitted dress - all yarns

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

..keeps you wonderfully warm and is quick and easy to knit with bulky yarns. It also works well under an outdoor jacket ;-)

The short PDF pattern includes the images from the image gallery and is described over 6 pages so that this lovely piece can be adapted to your individual measurements.

Materials used here:
Austermann Softy (98% merino, 2% PAM) – hand wash, 50 g = 53 m LL, -knitting needle 10.0 to 12.0 mm – here circular knitting needle size 10, at least 80 cm cable length. Gauge according to ball band: 8 sts = 10 cm

  • Size XS/S 500 g
  • Size M       550 g
  • Size L        600 g
  • Size XL/XXL    700 g
stitch markers, measuring tape, scissors, a second circular knitting needle (or thread stitches onto a contrasting yarn) for putting stitches on hold, needle for weaving in ends.

Any yarn of your choice with the matching needle size can be used.

General knitting skills as well as knitting in rows and rounds and picking up stitches (= knitting on) are sufficient. A knitting course is not included, but link tips are.

Children love things that are comfortable and warm. These leggings for toddlers will fit for at least 2 years—from ages 1.5 to 3—because they grow with your child. The legs could even be lengthened, extending the time they can be worn even more.

Thanks to the stitch pattern, they fit perfectly against the body while still being nicely stretchy. They are knitted in one piece from top to bottom, so there are no seams.

Even beginners with basic skills can give these leggings a try. The pattern explains every step in detail and includes photos.

These wrist warmers are very trendy, both in color and

it’s a very special cable!
Wrist Warmers with Loop Cable
you’ll need 100 g of yarn with a yardage of 160 m/50 g, as well as
a set of double-pointed needles size 3

The knitting skills that would be helpful are:

> casting on new stitches while knitting
> knit stitches
> purl stitches
> increasing stitches
> picking up stitches
> binding off stitches

Circle Jacket

This jacket not only looks cozy—it actually is. It’s worked as a giant circle, with the center point on the back. The 10-stitch technique is used here, meaning you’ll rarely have more than 10 stitches on your needle.
You’ll need:
  • 400 g Alize Angora Gold (80% acrylic, 10% mohair, 10% wool) 550 m/100 g, color gradient: brown, beige, turquoise, mint
  • Knitting needle: No. 3.0
  • stitch marker
