Saw some beautiful yarn ;-)

Hello,

Today I saw some great yarn in a little shop that also carries sewing notions. I’d really love to make something with it :D .
Is any of the designers perhaps planning to use it somehow? It’s the Schachenmayr Frilly  .

Best regards
Michaela

Maybe something using a mix of patterns and materials ... plum and various shades of gray-brown, perhaps ...

Hello Michaela

this yarn isn’t new—it’s been around for quite a while. You can really only knit these scarves with it.

Best regards, Marion

Hi Marion,

Honestly? Hmm, personally, I don't really like those ruffled scarves. Maybe I’ll just buy a skein to look at :-)

Best regards, Michaela

Dear Michaela,

I have some of those skeins, too. I can’t really think of anything sensible to do with them, but they’re really great just to look at and touch. Every time I open my yarn box and see them, it makes me happy.

There are more absurd reasons to buy yarn.....

Hi Michaela and Dagmar

I also had some yarn like that lying around for a long time. It even had little pom-poms along the outer edge.

At some point, I got the idea not to knit this yarn the way you're supposed to. I simply kept it together and knitted it with a thick needle.
Dagmar, maybe you'll think of something for it too. For example, as a belly for an animal or an amigurumi?

This is what mine looked like in the end

Thanks for the info. I was thinking earlier that I should crochet a bag and maybe incorporate some stripes or panels with that beautiful yarn.
Phew, I’ve already bought so many patterns and have countless others on my wish list. When am I ever going to get to all of this? What is the average life expectancy for women again? :D

Best regards, Michaela

Well, crocheters and knitters have a life expectancy of at least 180 thanks to their safe hobby/passion.
How else am I ever going to finish everything on my list....

Dear Marion, I’ll think it over. I actually held that ball of yarn in my hands again just yesterday. I’d set it aside for the kindergarten. But I just can’t bring myself to part with it.
It’s white with fringes and little black pom-poms inside. And as fluffy and soft as a kitten. I couldn’t even tell you exactly what it is anymore, because the label’s already gone.

Well, maybe it really is a kitten—if I can bring myself to use it.

The rest is missing.

Sacrifice your beloved yarn. I’d love it if you’d show us your creation sometime.

Have a great rest of your day.
