If I had to choose one of my own patterns as a gift for my best friend, it would be this shawl. It’s so wonderfully cozy and soft. You have to know, my best friend likes things nice and cozy. She likes nothing better than relaxing at home on the sofa.

The shawl is knitted in sock yarn, and the amount needed depends on the desired size. The pattern is simple; you just need to pay a little attention to the scalloped edge. Even knitting it feels cozy.

I have a friend who rides her bike all year round. Knitted wrist warmers make a great gift. They leave your fingers free to shift gears and ring the bell, while still keeping your hands warm.

Do you know this? Over the course of the day, feet swell up. And many people can’t wear a high sock cuff because their legs need wide-calf measurements. Then this design is just right, because it’s comfortable and stretchy. The cuff can also be rolled down, turning these socks into sneakers.
