A stylish perennial favorite:
Crochet Beanie 'Tabata' & Möbius scarf collar/loop (m/w)

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This crochet set (m/w) in fashionable gray  consists of a beanie and a Möbius scarf collar/loop.

The illustrated PDF pattern is written for a head circumference of 52  cm – 60 cm and includes both – hat and loop (loop in one size).

Basic crochet skills are sufficient (chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, crocheting in rounds, slip stitches, increases and decreases). The special stitches are illustrated and described. Difficulty level: medium.

For the hat, 150 g is needed, and for the loop, 100 g of a yarn with 50 g – 75 m yardage. Unlike the hook size on the yarn label, this is crocheted with crochet hook sizes 8.0 and 10.0.

THE must-have hat:

Crochet Hat for Everyone - very easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

ONE hat model -  wearable in all the variations shown, for both men and women. Also easy to crochet for children or as a simple hat for babies (though thinner yarn is recommended).

And the best part:

  • no gauge swatch (it doesn’t depend on the exact cm),
  • no increases or decreases,
  • for any yarn you like
  • possible in all sizes.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

These crochet skills are needed: chain stitches, single crochet.
Everything else and slip stitches are explained. Video link tips for learning to crochet for beginners are included in the PDF.

Tip: A matching crochet pattern for an infinity scarf for this hat is also available here in my shop:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/20003/haekel-moebius-loop-schal-fuer-alle-einfach

Materials
: for the model shown with a head circumference of 55 cm to 60 cm: approx. 250 g merino yarn, 50 g – 45 m, crochet hook 6.0; measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends. The ribbed pattern requires approx. 50 g more yarn than is usually typical for hats. The crochet hook size should match the yarn used in each case.

If converting gauge is supposed to be fun:

Gauge Conversion Excel Table - Crochet and Knitting - Calculation Aid

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This Excel table is a tool for converting your personal gauge into the required number of stitches for your knitting/crochet project.

And it's this easy:
Enter the result of your personal gauge swatch as well as the details for the specific pattern, and the required number of stitches appears automatically.

Important technical note:
My Excel tables contain calculation formulas and therefore require a so-called spreadsheet program. Calculations would not work in PDF format. To be able to open Excel tables, a spreadsheet program such as Excel, LibreOffice (available free of charge http://de.libreoffice.org/) or OpenOffice (available free of charge http://www.openoffice.org/de/) must be installed on the respective device. Then the file can be opened with a double-click.

If the message "Protected View" appears at the top of the screen, please click "Enable Editing".

Have fun with all your projects!

Here’s another hit from my shop. This wonderful sweater can be made in any size, and as the name suggests, you decide the collar width, length, and bust width yourself.

Whether with a high collar and 2 or 3 buttons, or perhaps just one button for smaller children, everything can be customized.

The pattern is completely timeless and can be worn by any gender. A wonderful piece of clothing for every season.

The pattern for the matching hat is included as a little bonus.

Materials needed:
  • You can work with any yarn you like; for women’s size 36/38, a 4-ply plied gradient yarn with a total yardage of approx. 1900 m was used here (the yarn consumption is of course
    dependent on the size)
  • Crochet hook suitable for the yarn used, here size 4
  • 1 - 3 buttons (diameter depending on the yarn thickness)
  • for the hat, with the specified yarn thickness, additionally (depending on the size) between 250 m and 300 m of yarn

Not all Christmas preparations can be done as early as September, but some certainly can. For example, you can already start making all the Advent calendars you want to give as gifts, like this one.

The calendar is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 28 x 4.5 x 32 cm. The individual boxes measure approximately 4.5 x 4.5 x 7.8 cm; they’re glued in just one spot and otherwise held together with tabs. The calendar is very easy to make and is also suitable for beginners.

A detailed description guides you through the crochet process.
For clarification, the pattern includes 3 charts of the motifs, 1 crochet chart, as well as

Our four-legged friends need a warm sweater during the transitional season, too...
Knits up really quickly—also suitable for beginners!

The pattern is also clearly illustrated with photos.

The size is designed for a full-grown French Bulldog.
Of course, it will also fit dogs of about the same size, as the merino quality adapts.

And here’s the pattern and more details...

Fall is the perfect time to make yourself really cozy and slowly get ready for the cold days ahead.
And who would know better how to face the cold with a generous dose of coziness and comfort than the Scandinavians, who have even elevated coziness to a virtue with their “hygge.”

And exactly this coziness and comfort is reflected in this wonderfully soft and delightfully warm winter scarf “Hygge”.

Thanks to its special braided pattern, the scarf is especially thick and cuddly while remaining wonderfully soft and drapey at the same time. This allows it to retain warmth well, making it the perfect companion for long walks through the icy winter landscape.

The pattern includes a detailed step-by-step description with numerous illustrations and an additional crochet chart.

Using the specified material (approx. 500 g of yarn with a yardage of 170 m/ 50 g) and the specified number of stitches, the finished scarf will be approx. 160 cm long and approx. 20 cm wide — however, it also explains how you can adjust these measurements entirely to your own wishes (without any annoying gauge or complicated recalculations!)

So it’s best to get started right away so you’re ready for winter! You can find the pattern and more information here >>>

One of my “September Top Picks” is my “Cappuccino” shawl pattern .

Thanks to two cleverly placed buttons, this shawl is a true master of transformation. Since the buttons fit through the openwork pattern, there’s no need to work in buttonholes—so the buttons can be fastened anywhere, resulting in a wide variety of ways to wear it!

Thanks to the openwork pattern and the lovely soft wool, the shawl is wonderfully loose and soft.

The pattern is very easy to crochet—making it absolutely perfect for beginners.

With this wonderfully warm cowl, nothing can go wrong for men or women on cold days...
... and it’s trendy, too!

The great textured pattern adds stability and a braided look.
Once you’ve crocheted the pattern repeat, you’ll get the hang of it -
even beginners will enjoy this pattern!

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
For clarity, 1 crochet chart is included in the pattern.
In addition, a template with an integrated diagram helps you through the crochet process.

When laid out flat, the scarf has a size of about 27 x 96 cm.
However, it can easily be made smaller or larger as needed.
The included template and the gauge help with that!

And here’s where to find the pattern and more details...

Are you crocheting / knitting yet, or still doing the math?
With the MyBatzi - crochet and knitting calculator, you can save yourself a lot of conversion work and focus fully on crocheting and knitting. The calculator takes the annoying conversion work off your hands. You can use it to calculate the following practical things:

  • How many skeins do I need of my desired yarn if I’m using a different yarn than the one specified in the pattern?
  • How many stitches and rows do I need to cast on for a different size than the one specified in the pattern?
  • How many stitches and rows do I need to cast on to get the same size if I want to work with a different yarn?
  • How large does the crown of my hat need to be so I can make the hat in the desired size?
--> Click here for the crochet and knitting calculator

The calculator is also available with the yarn search engine as an additional feature. It lists over 720 yarns from various manufacturers, so you can easily search for your desired yarn for your next project. For each yarn, the following is described:
  • Manufacturer
  • Name
  • Direct link to the yarn on the manufacturer’s website
  • Type of use for the yarn (e.g., amigurumi yarn, filet crochet yarn, roving yarn...)
  • Needle/hook size
  • Information on the percentage shares of the fiber types (cotton, wool, merino wool, virgin wool, alpaca, viscose, cashmere, mohair, polyacrylic, polyamide, polyester, others with exact designation)
  • Yardage in m per skein
  • Weight in g per skein
  • Gauge
  • Washing instructions (hand wash, machine wash with temperature)
  • Price per skein
  • Price converted to m of yardage
--> Click here for the calculator with yarn search engine

This cute pinafore dress for toddlers will delight all knitting grandmas and moms, because it’s a true quick-change artist. It grows with your child from ages 1.5 to 5, so this favorite piece can be worn for a long time.

The pinafore dress is knitted in one piece from the bottom up and has no seams. Even knitting beginners with basic skills will manage it well. All steps are described in detail in the pattern. There is a chart for the knitted-in hearts.
