Dear users, dear designers,
Christmas decorations themselves may still have time, but Advent calendars need to be made and filled by December 1 at the latest. Some of the Advent calendars in the shop also require materials beyond leftover yarn. You may still need to purchase / order them. That takes time. Please think about it early so you don’t end up short on time and stressed. Please also think about decorations for St. Nicholas Day.
I wish you all lots of joy and fun with your Advent calendar projects.
More Christmas.
More Advent.
More Advent wreaths.
More decorations.
More animals.
More for leftover yarn.
More for beginners.
Shop now.

@Designers,
2-3 patterns per designer are enough. Don’t forget the link and image, as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info, and details about what makes the pattern special.

You can use the St. Nicholas, snowman, and moose finger puppets in many different ways: as fillers for your Advent calendar, as decorations for your Advent wreath or as Christmas tree ornaments, as keychains or gift tags, as gift wrapping for money or gift vouchers, or simply for playing! They’re very easy to crochet from a few bits of leftover yarn. Make several of them right away!

This design can be both: an Advent calendar and an Advent wreath! Simply attach four candles in the center and, if you like, decorate them with a few small fir branches, and the calendar has a dual function!

The Advent calendar is made from cardstock and measures approx. 33.5 x 35.5 x 5.5 cm overall; the space in the center has a diameter of approx. 17 cm. The calendar consists of 24 hexagonal boxes glued together and is very easy to make.

If you start now, you’ll be on the safe side and guaranteed to be finished by December 1. This original Advent calendar consists of 24 small, colorful pouches. They’re quickly crocheted from leftover yarn. You can arrange them on a tray with festive decorations or hang them on a coat hanger. This way, you can hang the Advent calendar anywhere or give it as a gift once it’s filled. And after Christmas, you can also use the pouches for Easter or birthdays to hold little surprises ;-) This Advent calendar can therefore be used all year round.

The detailed pattern is suitable even for crochet beginners. The printable template for the red Christmas stars with the numbers 1–24 is included.

Materials

  • Approx. 200 g of assorted “Bravo” yarn by Schachenmayr or another yarn with the same yardage (133 meters per 50 g); leftover yarn will
also work (approx. 8 g of yarn per pouch)
  • Crochet hook size 3.5
  • Darning needle, scissors
  • Wooden clothes hanger with a bar (possibly paint for painting the hanger)
  • 24 small wooden clothespins, 4.5 cm long (available at craft stores or on eBay)
  • Tags with numbers 1–24 (can be printed from my template and used)
I hope you have lots of fun crocheting in the run-up to Christmas. Yours, Ina

These cute little gnomes are quick and easy to crochet—using leftover yarn—and are perfect for many useful purposes. For example, you can hide small gifts inside them, as well as knitting and crochet supplies. They’re a real hit as an Advent calendar and offer something completely different.

These gnomes can be easily and quickly made even by beginners with basic crochet skills. The pattern describes each step in detail. You can use a variety of colors, making this a great way to use up leftover yarn.

Click here for the crochet pattern for the gnome family.

Note: My shop also offers a value set that includes the pattern for the gnome house (storage basket).
