In three months, the time will have come: the first door of the Advent calendar will be opened - or, as with this calendar here, the first little box will be opened. If you start crafting right away, the calendar will be ready in time and you'll still have plenty of time to fill it at your leisure.

This Advent calendar is made of cardstock and measures approx. 26.5 x 4.5 x 30.5 cm. The individual boxes are approx. 4 x 4 x 7 cm in size, are glued in only one place, and are otherwise held together with the tabs. The calendar is very easy to make and is also suitable for craft beginners.

Crocheted table runners don't have to be old-fashioned,
here's an example :-)
Table runner "Hearts"
even my 16-year-old son likes this one, and that means something! :-D

in an additional PDF, which is of course included,

Because of the detailed instructions, the pattern is of course also suitable for beginners!

I crocheted the runner with Schachenmayr Catania Originals and a 3.5 mm crochet hook,

It’s slowly starting to feel like fall—time to crochet some new fall decorations! The pumpkin child, with its bright orange skirt, shoes, and hat, goes wonderfully with all fall colors. Decorated together with a few fall leaves or other autumnal flower children, it will adorn the seasonal table in September and October. Of course, the pumpkin is a must too!
The pumpkin child is about 12 cm tall and has movable arms and legs. The crochet pattern includes 12 pages with numerous pictures and detailed explanations, making it suitable for beginners too. Only single crochet stitches are used.

Konrad the Cuddly Bear
Konrad is a very versatile little guy. Thanks to his baby-soft yarn, he’s perfect for helping both kids and adults drift off to sleep. But he’s also an extremely patient passenger on the rear parcel shelf. Or he can watch TV with you. Plus, Konrad is the softest amigurumi teddy bear I’ve ever designed. In short—you need Konrad! You’ll receive a 10-page, richly illustrated, and detailed crochet pattern. For Konrad, you’ll need:
  • 50 g Schachenmayr Baby Smiles Lena soft (85 m/25 g), camel
  • Scraps of black cotton yarn
  • 20 mm safety eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Crochet hook size 4.0
This makes Konrad 25 cm tall when seated.Click here for the pattern

Casting On Stitches with a Set of Double-Pointed Needles - Trick

As a supplement to my sock-knitting patterns/courses, I have a trick for everyone who wants to cast on stitches with a set of double-pointed needles and distribute them evenly across 4 needles so the stitches don't twist:

Here’s the blog post: Casting On Stitches with a Set of Double-Pointed Needles - Trick

Do you know this feeling? You want to knit socks, a hat/hats, or something else that requires a set of double-pointed needles because you can’t go around the round with a circular needle anymore. The cast-on stitches are usually distributed across 4 needles. The problem: the individual needles somehow hang down, dangle, twist, and get tangled up—what a jumble. The result is often—twisted stitches. The solution: a special cast-on for a set of double-pointed needles.

I hope my technique helps you.
Wishing you lots of great double-pointed needle projects and lots of fun with them.

This sweater is guaranteed to become your favorite piece of clothing in fall and winter! It fully deserves its name "Favorite Sweater"!
Simply crocheted in your favorite colors, to go with jeans, Marlene pants, a skirt... there are virtually no limits to the possible combinations.
Either worked, as shown, with a cozy turtleneck , or finished with just a small hem at the neckline (the options are explained in the pattern!), you can really get creative with this pattern.

Even beginners can make the pullover without any trouble, because the detailed, step-by-step pattern with lots of photos will quickly guide you to the desired result!

I’ve got this terrible ghost as a new housemate now. To make it less scary, I put it on a potholder.

You can find the pattern here.

This potholder is knitted using the double-knitting technique, which means the colors on the front and back are exactly reversed. You should be familiar with this technique; the pattern does not include a tutorial on it. The ghost is shown in a knitting chart.
You’ll need cotton yarn in two different colors and knitting needles that are slightly thinner than those recommended for the yarn. If you like, you can also add a crocheted border all around, but it isn’t absolutely necessary.

With this wonderfully warm cowl, nothing can happen to either men or women on cold days....
... and it’s trendy on top of that!
The lovely textured relief pattern adds stability and a braided structure.

Once you’ve crocheted the pattern repeat, you’ll have the hang of it -
even beginners will enjoy this pattern!

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
For clarification, 1 chart in crochet chart form can be found in the pattern.
In addition, a cutting layout with an integrated diagram helps you through the crochet process.

The unrolled scarf has a size of about 27 x 96 cm.
However, it can easily be made smaller or larger as needed.
The included layout and the gauge will help with that!

And here’s the pattern and more details...

Admittedly, Christmas is still a little while away. But the early knitter catches the worm ... ahem, knits the nativity scene – in plenty of time for the first Sunday of Advent ;-) And what could be nicer for yarn lovers like us than knitted Christmas decorations?
As always, the pattern is very detailed, so even less experienced knitters can give the figures a try. And knitting heroines and heroes will have Mary, Joseph, and the Christ Child flying off their needles in no time!

Here’s the pattern: CLICK!

Kiki, the curious little squirrel, is already busily collecting nuts for the winter. Just make sure she doesn’t get her paws on your supplies! Oh, it’s already happened! That’s what you get for letting Kiki into the house!
But Kiki is also especially friendly and loves to be petted.
You can crochet Kiki quickly and easily (using only single crochet stitches). You’ll need some cotton yarn and a little fringed yarn in reddish-brown, some stuffing, and safety eyes.
Here is the pattern for Kiki!

The little bat is so quick and easy to crochet that you can make several of them in no time, then put them together however you like as a mobile or a string of lights. It definitely makes a great Halloween decoration! All you need is some leftover black yarn, a little gray yarn, and stuffing.
You can find the pattern here!

Kids love comfortable clothes. And in this cooler season, leggings are an absolute must. Thanks to the stitch pattern, these leggings hug the body perfectly, whether the child is slim or a little chubby. The advantage is that they can easily accommodate a diaper at first and still maintain their fit later on.

The leggings also grow with the child in length for a while.

The pattern is written so that each step is explained with photos. As a beginner, however, you should have a few basic skills:

  • knit stitches and purl stitches and knitting in the round
  • Knitting with a set of double-pointed needles and circular needles
  • Increasing stitches from a single stitch (also explained here)
  • Decreases (knitting 2 stitches together)
  • Binding off stitches
  • Changing colors in the round
  • Knitting a double hem rib, similar to picot edging (briefly explained in the pattern)
Click here for the knitting pattern for toddler leggings.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These fingerless gloves or wrist warmers are perfect for chilly days. I like to wear them while working at the computer, going for walks, or even working in the garden.

The pattern is easy to follow, even for beginners. The pattern includes a detailed description with photos. You should have the following basic skills:

  • Knit stitches and purl stitches, and knitting in the round
  • Knitting with a set of double-pointed needles
  • Binding off stitches
  • Changing colors in the round
  • Slip stitches (also explained here with photos)

Brand new from me is the Emmentaler Hat.

It features the same pattern as the wrist warmers and scarf of the same name—a pretty lace pattern. It’s knitted in sock yarn. The pattern is available in 4 different sizes.

I’m just quickly slipping something else into September here.

I have a new wrap.

This wrap is knitted with sock-weight yarn. You can also use other yarns, which will make it sturdier. I think it drapes especially beautifully in finer yarns.
The pattern is simple and suitable for beginners. You’ll just need a little patience.
