Hand-knitted socks are a treat for your feet. They keep you warm when the cold rises up from the floor and are simply comfortable to wear.

How about this pattern?

This pattern is especially suitable for colorful sock yarns because it includes slipped stitches that then lie as a contrasting thread over the rest of the pattern. This looks particularly good with hand-dyed sock yarns, for example.

Knitting pattern for simple baby shoes “Jakob” - ideal for beginners, too

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Matching baby shoes for every outfit – quick and easy to knit.

Choose the color placement as you like, fold the cuff inward or outward, sew on a button, etc.

The step-by-step main pattern with photos describes the version shown in the title image. There is also a short pattern to print out and a sketch (be sure to download it).

These basic knitting skills are required:
casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, knitting in rows, edge stitches, binding off, color changes.

We need:
50 g soft merino yarn with approx. 120 m - 130 m yardage per 50 g ball, color petrol, for knitting needle size 3 – 4, approx. 20 g of matching leftover yarn in the same yarn weight, color eggshell white or light beige (= leftover yarn). Gauge according to the yarn label: 22 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, used here: knitting needle 3.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle, and for the bow a 3.0 crochet hook.

I've been felting for a very long time—and that's why I can't do without felted shoes. No fall or winter gives me cold feet. Felted shoes are simply uniquely soft, warm, and cozy; they help regulate temperature, and the thick felt gives you a cushioned step. Nothing pinches. I also like to give them as gifts sometimes.

Depending on the season and how much warmth you need, you can make felted moccasins :

or felted boots with a rolled cuff. Here, the rolled cuff is knitted separately and sewn on. Men like them too in muted colors ...

Or you can choose the one-step felted shoe model. Here, the whole shoe is knitted in one piece. The washing machine takes care of the felting. All sizes are possible.

Once you've worn felted shoes, you won't want to be without them.

I wish you lots of joy knitting and felting—yours, Ina
