Depending on your color choice, for little boys or girls:

Baby traditional-style knitted cardigan, size 50/56, including a gauge conversion chart

(Please click the image to purchase/download )

...THE classic traditional-style cardigan in miniature...

For this easy-to-knit baby traditional-style cardigan , you’ll need approx. 100 g of 4-ply sock yarn, e.g. Zimba Top by Schoeller+Stahl in classic traditional grey, plus 50 g (or leftover yarn) of Regia 4-ply for the edging in traditional green, size 3.0 knitting needles and, if needed, a size 3–3.5 crochet hook for the decorative chain on the placket.

The PDF pattern includes 15 images .

You’ll also receive, as a bonus, a simplified version of my Excel spreadsheet for quickly converting your individual gauge to the desired size (applicable to all knitted/crocheted pieces; a spreadsheet program is required, e.g. Excel or LibreOffice—the latter is available free online).

Basic knitting skills are assumed (i.e. these steps are not illustrated).
Required knitting skills : cross cast-on, knit stitches, bind off, increase stitches (from the strand between stitches), yarn over (for the buttonholes), knit 2 stitches together.

This jacket can also be knitted as a vest without sleeves (in which case, crochet around the armholes once in green using single crochet stitches).

A lovely sleeveless hooded vest for the transitional season—traditional style and babywear, I love this combination :-)
The little pockets add a bit of flair to the little jacket.
The hood creates just the right style contrast!

And if you’re not a fan of the “traditional” look—just change the buttons.

This pattern is designed for size 92–98.
However, the included template and gauge make it possible to knit any size!

And here’s the pattern and more details...

All little (and big) boys love trains! Even the very youngest can play with this one, since there are no sharp edges that could cause injury. It’s so cuddly that you can even take it to bed with you at night!
The individual parts of the train are very easy to crochet and just need to be sewn together with a little patience. Use Catania by Schachenmayr or a comparable yarn in any color, and a 2.5 mm crochet hook.
Here is the pattern for the locomotive and here is the pattern
for the wagons!

What little boy hasn’t dreamed of being an airline pilot? You can’t make that dream come true, but with very little effort, you can crochet this little airplane for him to dangle from his backpack or keychain. Or you could crochet several of them in a variety of colors and turn them into a colorful mobile for his bedroom. All you need is a little leftover yarn and some basic crocheting skills.

This slipover in a trendy nautical style is just right for little boys ! Just slip on a polo shirt or long-sleeve T-shirt underneath, pair it with jeans, and this comfortable outfit is perfect! :-)

Click here to go straight to the striped slipover pattern!

Two yarns with the same gauge are listed—so you can knit with pure cotton for late summer and/or a virgin wool/polyester/cashmere blend for winter.

The slipover is described in detail in 3 sizes :
  • Size 80 (1 year)
  • Size 86 (18 months)
  • Size 92/98 (2–3 years)
You’ll receive a step-by-step pattern with plenty of high-quality photos and illustrations!

A special feature is the arm edging, which is worked directly as you knit—this requires some knitting experience due to the color change within a row. Of course, the slipover also looks great in a single color!

This shawl is great for little boys —for example, at 8 a.m. in the sandbox with a fresh breeze...:-)

Click here to go straight to the kids’ shawl pattern!

The pattern specifies the number of stitches and rows for both summer and winter yarns, but maybe you have a skein at home with the same or very similar yardage? One skein is enough for one shawl, and
measurements in centimeters are also provided!

You’ll get a step-by-step pattern with lots of high-quality photos and illustrations!

The pattern is perfect for beginners!

The hardworking bear Herbärt is the ideal playmate for little (and big) boys!
He can store all the tools he needs for working on the construction site in his tool belt.
After work, he can take off his work clothes and enjoy the evening as a regular teddy bear.

What you need:

♦ Crochet yarn in various colors
♦ Crochet hooks: • One hook in the smallest size recommended for the yarn. • One hook approx. 1 mm larger
♦ Craft stuffing or similar for filling the bear
♦ Safety eyes (if desired, in your preferred color and size.)
♦ One button (in your preferred color and size)

You should know the following: crocheting in rounds, crocheting in rows, chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, color changes, decreases and increases.

Get the pattern here and start right away!

Have fun! :)

I have a knitted slouch beanie for cool boys to share.

The pattern is here.

It’s very easy to knit using sock yarn or slightly thicker yarn—both work well. The pattern is available in three different sizes.

If the boy is getting on your nerves and pulling his little sister’s hair, put a dishcloth in his hand! Then maybe he’ll never do it again :-)

Quick to knit in cotton with a very simple pattern. Maybe he’ll even want to learn how to knit.
