These cute little gnomes can be arranged into a wonderful Advent calendar by sticking on numbered hearts (or stars). You can hide lots of lovely things inside for kids of all ages. They also make simply enchanting gifts for Secret Santa exchanges during the Christmas season. Filled with a few chocolates, jewelry, or other little treats, they’re sure to bring joy and make (children’s) hearts beat faster.

Plus, the gnomes have many other useful functions:

  • You can use them to wrap gifts (e.g., money, jewelry, candy, and much more).
  • They’re a huge hit as egg cozies.
  • They make a sweet little gift for young and old alike.
  • They keep your knitting and crocheting supplies safe, such as buttons.
  • They can also store jewelry inside them.
  • They also make great Advent calendars.
  • They’re a huge hit at kids’ birthday parties and are sure to bring lots of joy.
  • And of course, they’re also a great toy for kids.
And wherever these cute (Christmas) gnomes are placed, they spread joy and good cheer! :-)
The recipients will be thrilled!

I’d rate the difficulty level as easy. You might just need a little patience and dexterity when shaping the faces.

Even beginners with basic skills can easily and quickly recreate these gnomes.

The individual steps are described in detail in the pattern. The PDF file is 21 pages long and includes 53 individual photos.

Crochet pattern for Christmas decor as a money gift

Even Santa has laundry day once in a while; it makes him lose his desire to wrap presents, so this year he decides to put money or vouchers in his gift sack.

Money gifts at Christmas are practical and totally on trend. With the right packaging, the gift is twice as well received, because after it has been emptied, everything can still be used as fun decor on a wall or door.

Details & pattern are available here

The pattern is written without abbreviations and is well suited for beginners.

The following stitches are used
  • chain stitches
  • slip stitches
  • single crochet stitches
  • half double crochet stitches
  • double crochet stitches
So the Christmas preparations can begin, because Christmas always comes so suddenly :)

All children love finger puppets! Here you can fill 3 doors of the Advent calendar at once. Santa Claus, snowman, and moose can be crocheted quickly from just a few leftover yarn scraps, and afterward you can make the Advent season feel shorter with funny stories about the three of them. The pattern is easy and also suitable for crochet beginners.

Socks in 6-ply Yarn – Tutorial with Charts for All Sizes

(Click the image to purchase/download )

Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are slightly thicker—and therefore warmer—and, above all, knit faster than those made from 4-ply yarn. They’re usually preferred for house and bed socks, slippers, or even for hiking in mountain boots. Men love these socks in work boots.

This is essentially a sock-knitting tutorial , illustrated in detail using children’s socks in size 32/33 as an example.

All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding size charts for 6-ply sock yarn .

Included in the download :

  • PDF sock-knitting pattern—illustrated step by step (22 pages)
  • Baby sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn—for newborns up to shoe size 20
  • Sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn—children’s socks up to adult shoe size 47

By the way:
For 4-ply sock yarns, there is a separate sock-knitting course with corresponding charts available here in my shop at https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/5603/sockenstrick-lehrgang-fuer-4-faediges-garn-alle-groessen-fuer-baby-kinder-damen-herrensocken

Scandinavian Christmas with ZONKO the house gnome and shelf sitter! During the Christmas season, gnomes are indispensable little helpers: they decorate the house, wrap the gifts, bake the cookies, and get up to all kinds of mischief on the side! The rest of the time, they make themselves comfortable in boxes and flowerpots......

ZONKO is approx. 56 cm tall from the tip of his hat to the soles of his shoes and is knitted mostly in stockinette stitch in the round.

Materials:
  • 1 ball of "Mille Colori Baby" by Lang Yarns
  • 1 ball of 4-ply sock yarn in denim
  • 1 leftover 4-ply sock yarn in beige
  • Doll yarn for the beard
  • Set of double-pointed needles size 2.5
  • Bird sand
  • Stuffing or wool fleece
  • 2 small plastic bags
Zonko can also be knitted with thicker yarns; then he will turn out correspondingly larger!
Remember: Christmas comes suddenly and unexpectedly every year, so start knitting in good time ;-)
Here’s the pattern:

Funny Snowmen - a crochet pattern not just for beginners

The most wonderful time of the year will soon be here again. The time for crafting and decorating.

This pattern brings you a really fun decoration. But these snowmen are also great not only for decorating, but for little ones to play with, as gifts, as keychains, or as bag charms.

Depending on the yarn and hook size, the snowmen will be between 7 and 25 cm tall.

The amount of material needed is small, so you can get started right away with suitable leftover yarn.
You will also need:
  • a few safety eyes (these can also be replaced with small buttons or beads)
  • stuffing
  • for movable arms, pipe cleaners or a little wire.
And because Christmas is also about gifts, the pattern for the Christmas tree (crochetable in any desired size) .... and a ...(psssst..... not telling yet) ....small funny decorative pattern (let yourself be surprised), as a thank-you and warm Christmas greeting from Flima are included too.

Get the patterns for this surprise package here.
