Protect your drink from wasps when you’re outdoors! You can also use these crocheted coasters as lids and insert a straw through the hole in the middle. It’s best to crochet two at a time so the coaster and lid match. And if you crochet a few more rounds and add a loop, you’ll have beautiful fruit-shaped pot holders in no time!
The pattern is very simple and suitable even for absolute crochet beginners. You can download it here!

A poncho made from thin cotton for cool summer evenings—and, if you like, also a triangular shawl. Here you see a true quick-change artist that is airy and warming at the same time. The shawl/poncho is a real eye-catcher thanks to the special wave pattern with a 3D effect.

In the knitting pattern, the complete shawl with the pattern repeats and many photos is explained precisely step by step over 18 pages, plus an additional 2 pages with detailed pattern charts. However, you should have basic knitting knowledge and a little practice.

I would describe the difficulty level as intermediate. The shawl can also be knitted smaller or larger as desired, so it will fit other sizes too.

Measurements (fits sizes 36–42):
  • Width of the shawl: approx. 180 cm
  • Total length of the shawl to the point: approx. 90 cm
  • The height and width measurements can easily be adjusted to another size.

Materials needed (for the size described here):
  • 300 g cotton in white (here: yardage 170 m/50 g)
  • 50–100 g cotton in pink
  • One 80 cm circular knitting needle, size 3.5
  • One crochet hook, size 3.5
  • One yarn needle for weaving in ends
  • A few stitch markers

Here is the knitting pattern for the poncho/triangular shawl.

Crocheting/knitting at the booth or anywhere else on the go:
this table can be wonderfully printed out and is therefore available even when your smartphone battery is dead:

READ OFF instead of Calculate - PDF table for knitting and crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Here it is—the much-requested PDF table for determining the number of stitches to cast on: READ OFF instead of Calculate—whether printed out or on a smartphone, always close at hand—this PDF table is simply practical for on the go.

And here's how it works:
Crochet or knit a gauge swatch (at least 10 cm x 10 cm), count how many stitches/rows make up 10 cm, and then easily read from the table how many stitches need to be cast on for the desired measurement, or how many rows are needed.

For pattern instructions
"number of stitches divisible by ... plus   ..." I recommend this Excel table (click me). Note: Excel tables based on formulas cannot be used when printed out—see notes on the other product mentioned above.

A photo step-by-step explanation for creating the fringe is also included in the pattern.

The measurements are approximately: length: approx. 145 cm (without fringe), width: approx. 55 cm
Gauge is included as always—for any adjustments!
