Knitting Pattern Traditional Bodice / Top
Bodices are a perennial favorite in traditional costume fashion.

This
(traditional) bodice is laced; alternatively, you can also attach (traditional) buttons—just as you like.
The detailed instructions are for size S/M—stretchy thanks to the pattern and the lacing, up to size 42.
Any desired size is possible—easy to adapt due to the simple pattern—also suitable for beginners.
Basic knitting skills and crocheting chain stitches are sufficient

We need approx. 250 g of a yarn with 50 g – 125 m to 130 m yardage for needle sizes 3 – 4 and a gauge according to the ball band of approx. 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm. Used here: knitting needle 3.5 and crochet hook 3.0.
Usual knitting supplies: measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle, stitch holder or additional circular knitting needles for holding stitches; a stitch marker is not required here.
If desired, buttons, cord, or velvet ribbon, unless you crochet it.
