Baby traditional knit vest size 86/92 with intarsia cable

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Not just for Oktoberfest season...

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g gray merino wool + 50 g red merino wool, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, gauge according to the ball band: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needles 3.0 – 4.0;
here: knitting needles 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for putting stitches on hold, yarn needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

The red cable on the back is worked in intarsia technique (illustrated explanation is included) and requires a little time and skill, so I would not recommend it for beginner knitters.
The cable also looks lovely in solid gray; the entire piece is then knitted fairly quickly. For knitting beginners, I therefore recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one solid color.

Baby Traditional-Style Cardigan Size 50/56, including a gauge conversion chart

(Click the image to purchase/download)

..THE classic traditional-style cardigan in miniature..

For this easy-to-knit baby traditional-style cardigan, you’ll need approx. 100 g of, for example, Zimba Top by Schoeller+Stahl in classic traditional gray + 50 g (or leftover yarn) of Regia 4-ply yarn in traditional green for the edging, size 3.0 knitting needles, and, if needed, a size 3–3.5 crochet hook for the decorative foundation chain on the placket.

The PDF pattern includes 15 images.

You’ll also receive, as a bonus, a simplified version of my Excel spreadsheet for quickly converting your gauge to your desired size (applicable to all knitted/crocheted pieces; a spreadsheet program is required, such as Excel or LibreOffice—the latter is available for free online).

Basic knitting skills are assumed (i.e., these steps are not illustrated).
Required knitting skills: cross cast-on, knit stitches, bind off, increase stitches (from the strand between stitches), yarn over (for the buttonholes), knit 2 stitches together.

By the way: This jacket can also be knitted as a vest without sleeves (in which case, crochet around the armholes once in green using single crochet stitches).

A simply made girls’ cardigan—but really jazzed up by the border!
This vest comes entirely without a button band—and is therefore worn open.

This pattern is designed for size 116-122.
However, the included cut and gauge make it easy to make any size!

And here’s the pattern with more details...

Our little girls will be perfectly “shod” in these ballerinas...
The button sets the trend!

Also an ideal project for using up leftovers. Finished in 1-2 hours!

The pattern is designed for a foot length of about 9 - 10 cm.
However, the included gauge makes it easy to make any size!

You will also find a table for baby and children’s shoe sizes (incl. cm measurements) in the pattern.

And this way to the pattern and more details...

Our little girls want to be dressed fashionably too...
... and we want that too :-)

Cheerful colors and a sophisticated pattern make this soul warmer a MUST HAVE!

Knitted in the right quality, this shrug can be worn in any season and for any occasion.
The finished shrug in the product image shows children's size 98.

However, the pattern is designed for sizes 50 - 152!

An exact cut as well as 2 detailed schematics make the knitting process easier.

You will also find size charts for ages 0 - 12 years in the pattern.
Gauge is included as always - for any adaptations.

And here is the pattern and more details...

Horst the Rabbit and Ariane the Cat make wonderful baby toys when you knit them from baby yarn and embroider the eyes. They have very few seams, and their shape is perfect for grabbing and cuddling. The step-by-step patterns with plenty of pictures will guide you safely through the creative process—so you'll be ready for the next christening!

My brand-new knitting pattern for a summer baby bodysuit just went live today. The onesie is knitted in one piece from top to bottom. There are no seams.

The pattern is suitable for advanced knitters and professionals. You should know how to work increases, place stitches on hold, and knit short rows, or at least feel confident learning these techniques on a simple project. Anything beyond knit and purl stitches is explained separately at the end of the pattern. The instructions are mainly text-based.

Materials
- 100-150 g of Aran-weight yarn; I used myboshi Lieblingsfarben No. 2 and needed 100 g
- 5 mm knitting needles
- darning needle
- scissors
- measuring tape
- 3 buttons

These cute little baby shoes are quick and easy to crochet—always a perfect gift for a new baby and a great little present to bring along.
  • Cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g was used (e.g. Catania). You’ll need a total of 50 g of yarn per pair.
  • Crochet hook size 2.5.
  • The crochet pattern for the baby booties is written for size 19. Using the materials listed, the insoles will measure 10–11 cm in length, making them suitable for babies aged 6–9 months.
The pattern is fully illustrated and suitable for beginners with basic crochet skills. For this pattern, you should be familiar with the following stitches and terms: chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitches, decreasing with double crochet, and crocheting stitches together.

These three rattles make a wonderful gift for babies for a birth or christening. They are cuddly soft and make sounds when moved. Rattles encourage babies’ play instincts and hand-eye coordination.

With this crochet pattern, even ambitious beginners can crochet the baby rattles, because the pattern includes lots of photos and detailed step-by-step explanations.

To make them, all you need is some leftover yarn and one empty Kinder Surprise egg per rattle.

Get the pattern and crochet a wonderful blanket that is suitable for both babies and toddlers. Thanks to its size, you can fold the blanket double at first and wrap babies up nice and warm. Later, you can simply use the blanket to cover toddlers as well.
You can create the color gradient yourself using your favorite colors.

I have a lovely knitting pattern for a hat here for all autumn and winter babies

This pattern is very simple, as it only uses knit and purl stitches. If you’re comfortable using a set of double-pointed needles, you can quickly knit this hat for a baby with about 50–80 g of yarn.

The pattern is available in 8 sizes, ranging from premature babies to adults.

The Lina baby blanket knits up very quickly and measures 60 cm in height and 72 cm
. The baby blanket pattern features a simple offset checkerboard pattern and is suitable for beginners.
The yarn is a 4-ply merino blend consisting of 75% wool and 25% polyester, with a length of 420 m. I used 2 skeins.

A truly sweet baby outfit definitely needs a stylish hat too, especially on slightly cooler days, like this Baby Beanie "Emma"

Depending on whether you want a light summer beanie or more of a warmer winter hat , this baby hat can be crocheted with any yarn you like.

The pattern with detailed instructions and an additional crochet chart includes the stitch counts for 3 different sizes and also explains how you can very easily adapt the pattern to any size you like—with no gauge swatch or annoying recalculations!
That way, even crochet beginners will quickly get a beautiful result.

Little tip: Why not crochet another matching sibling hat for the big sister or big brother!
