Trend Fall/Winter 2017/2018: Trend Color Red

Dear users, dear authors,
the trend scouts apparently don’t quite agree on the trend colors.
Neon colors are in, and so are pastel colors; for shoes / sneakers / summer shoes, delicate pink is very popular, and for winter, red tones, both as accents and used all over for dresses, etc., are apparently _the_ trend.
All well-known fashion designers have included red in their Fall/Winter 2017/2018 collections, so of course the smaller and larger fashion houses in every price segment will pick it up too. I think that Crazypatterns can cover all the trends mentioned above well. If a red dress is too striking for you, you can still choose red gloves or a red hat and still be right on trend. :- )

The shawl is knitted from 4-ply yarn, using two different lace patterns that also contrast with each other in color.
This pattern is not really suitable for knitting beginners, but it isn’t difficult either. Everything is written out in detail and also shown in knitting charts.
The yarn consumption depends on the size of the shawl; it is knitted on 4 mm needles.

Dark red and a contrasting color are used for this gingham-patterned hat.

It’s knitted using a wool-blend yarn with a yardage of 114m per 50g, on 4mm needles. One skein of each color is enough for most sizes; for the large adult size, you may want to plan on a second skein of red.
The two-color pattern is shown in a knitting chart. The pattern is available in four different sizes.

Traditional Bavarian-Style Knitted Baby Vest Size 86/92 with Intarsia Cable

Not just for Oktoberfest season...

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g merino wool in gray + 50 g merino wool in red, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, gauge according to the label: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needles 3.0–4.0;
here: knitting needles 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, yarn needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern includes pictures.
The red cable on the back is made using the intarsia technique (explanation is included) and requires
a bit of time and skill—so I would not recommend it for knitting beginners. The cable also looks beautiful in solid gray; then the whole piece knits up quite quickly. For knitting beginners, I recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one color.

Materials:

• 300 meters of gradient yarn, 5-ply, cotton/acrylic, 
• 1 pair of knitting needles, size 3.5
• 1 needle for weaving in ends
• 1 pair of scissors

Of course, you can also knit the loop with your favorite yarn, wider or narrower, longer or shorter—there are no limits to your imagination.
The pattern is written out, includes a chart and photos showing how you can knit the loop together at the end. How to knit a bobble is explained in detail.

Knitting pattern for the SOFTY knitted dress without sleeves - all yarns

Material used here: Austermann Softy (98% merino, 2% PAM) – hand wash, 50 g = 53 m yarn length, for knitting needles size 10.0 to 12.0 – here circular knitting needle size 10, at least 80 cm cable length.

Right on trend for the upcoming fall/winter fashion is Amrun. It is a stylish knitted shawl that goes perfectly with a casual jeans outfit. Its pattern and color changes add variety and make for a lovely knitting experience.

Anyone who wants to be trendy this coming fall/winter should combine the trend color red with a slightly different poncho - just like the knitted Swoncho Nessa.
What is a swoncho? A swoncho is the perfect combination of a sweater and a poncho.
Thanks to the knitted-on cuffs, it always fits perfectly and nothing can slip out of place.



The Swoncho Nessa is ideal for cooler fall days. If you leave off the collar and knit it with a delicate cotton yarn, you even have a wonderful accessory for summer!

• approx. 400 grams of “Lippenbekenntnis” Best of by Schoppel (yardage 420 m / 100 g) or similar yarn with the same yardage
  
• Circular knitting needle 3.5 – 4.5 (I recommend an interchangeable cable system, such as KnitPro, because toward the end there will be a lot of stitches on the needle and you will need a very long cable)
  
• 9 stitch markers (8 for the raglan shaping and one for joining in the round)
  
• Sewing needle for weaving in the ends

• A piece of scrap yarn for the provisional cast-on
  
• Crochet hook for the provisional cast-on

Fall is poncho season! A chic poncho is the trend accessory for every fall/winter.

Knitting pattern

For cooler days in spring and fall for the doll children. The doll mommies will beam with joy. Materials: yarn yardage / 50g, 1 circular knitting needle size 2, 1 knitting needle size 2 for turning the cable, shirt button, sewing needle, matching sewing thread. Other yarn and the matching knitting needle can also be used. This may lead to slight variations. The pattern is suitable for advanced knitters who have the necessary stitch knowledge (how the types of stitches are knitted is not explained).
