• Approx. 20g of yarn (Schoeller Stahl Zimba medium in color 0218) in the color you want your lion to be. The yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook (Schoeller Stahl recommends a 3.5mm hook, but it works great with a 3mm hook)
• Approx. 20g of yarn for the lion’s mane (I used eyelash yarn, but it also works great with leftover yarn).
• White leftover yarn suitable for a 2mm crochet hook
• Brown yarn for the nose
• Safety eyes (8 mm)
• Stuffing
• Scissors, darning needle
• Stitch marker
• Pins to secure the individual limbs before sewing them together

Hello, everyone! Our names are Lenny and Leana, and we belong to the extremely rare breed of dangly lions. We are about 17 cm tall when sitting, and 30 cm tall at full length with legs. We are really very cuddly, house-trained, and tame :-). Our mom says we are easy to crochet and therefore suitable for beginners. You should be able to do the following: single crochet, increase and decrease single crochet stitches, sew on individual parts, slip stitches, and make a magic ring. What you need:

• Approx. 60 g of yarn in yellow/beige or orange, depending on what color you want your lions to be. My boy is made with Schoeller Stahl Zimba Medium in color 0218. The girl is also made with Schoeller Stahl Zimba Medium in color 0022. This yarn recommends a 3.5 mm crochet hook, but I used a 3 mm hook.
• Leftover white yarn for the cheeks and belly. This leftover yarn should also be suitable for a 3 mm hook
• Approx. 20 g of yarn for the mane; I used “fringe yarn” from Schachenmayr “Brazilia,” color 1027, lot 2206.
• Yarn for the nose and mouth, as well as a thin black thread for the eyebrows and the dots on the cheeks.
• 3 mm crochet hook
• Stuffing
• Darning needle and scissors
• 10 mm safety eyes
• Pins to hold the limbs in place while sewing them on
• Stitch marker

Length: 27 pages of detailed crochet instructions with many pictures showing everything step by step. I also won’t leave you in the lurch when sewing the individual parts together!
Difficulty level: Easy, suitable for beginners. However, you should already have worked in spiral rounds and have a basic knowledge of crochet.

Roaaaar! Here comes NELSON, the lion! He’s actually more of a cuddly type, but when monsters are lurking under the bed, he can let out a mighty roar to chase them away :-)
Nelson is almost 40 cm tall – that sounds big, but since he’s quite slim, he’s more of a medium-sized lion with the perfect stuffed-animal size. He is knitted from durable, high-quality merino wool, which makes him wonderfully soft – and even washable if he has gone on a romp through all the puddles with his little friends. (Not that he likes being washed – like all stuffed animals, he is extremely water-shy ;-))

Shadow the panther is still very young, has lots of mischief in his head, and likes to play with his friends. But he is also very cuddly and is already looking forward to being spoiled by you.
