Materials needed: 4-ply sock yarn
(wonderfully soft options include, for example, Ferner “Lungauer Sockengarn” merino sock yarns
or Austermann “Step” with aloe vera and jojoba, or “Comfort” with cashmere)
- approx. 15 g for the baby socks,
- approx. 10 g for the baby mittens,
- for adult socks up to size 44: 100 g,
- if larger than size 44, then 150 g is required.
set of double-pointed needles size 2.5, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends.
The baby socks can also be embroidered, for example, and used in various ways—not only as baby socks—e.g.
as “packaging” for gifts of money or sweets, as an Advent calendar, as a keychain—there are no limits to your imagination.
Wishing you a lovely knitting Pentecost!
