Egg cozies are great. They keep your breakfast egg nice and warm—even for late risers—and bring colorful cheer to the table.

Here, I’d like to introduce two of my egg cozies:

The “Butterfly Flight” egg cozies are perfect for using up leftover yarn and combining colors.

These fun egg cozies will bring good cheer to the breakfast table all year round. They can be crocheted perfectly from leftover yarn.

The pattern is written without abbreviations and is easy for beginners to understand, too.

Mrs. Hen and Mr. Rooster are the perfect egg cozies—after all, they know a thing or two about brooding! They sit patiently on your hard-boiled breakfast eggs and make sure you can enjoy them warm even if it takes you a little longer to get to the table in the morning. And of course, they make a very pretty table decoration!

Here is the pattern

A slightly different egg cozy. With a few grams of your leftover crochet thread, you can conjure up something fun and original for the table. Not everyone has one. 
The egg cozies are quick to crochet, and with a little time you can crochet yourself your own little fleet of vehicles.
Approx. 10 g crochet thread, hook size 2 - 2.5, and just a tiny bit of stuffing or leftover yarn.
Single crochet, half double crochet, and slip stitches.

Difficulty level: very easy

What you need:

• Yellow and gray - Catania by Schachenmayr (or similar yarn), approx. 25 g per color, a little pink, orange, and black.
• Optional googly eyes if you don't want to embroider
• Hook size 3, yarn needle and scissors, a little decorative ribbon, and a fine comb

Unicorn Egg Cup Crochet Pattern

Brighten up your breakfast table with these cute unicorn egg cups. The unicorn egg cups will put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. They make great gifts and are real eye-catchers :-) What you’ll need:

• Approx. 20g of white yarn, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
• Scraps of pink yarn (for the unicorn’s mouth), also suitable for a 3mm hook
• Scraps of white yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the ears)
• Scraps of purple or yellow/gold yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the horn)
• Yarn for the mane and tail
• 6mm safety eyes
• stuffing
• Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers

16-page crochet pattern with plenty of pictures
Difficulty level: Easy—you should be familiar with the basic crochet techniques (making a magic ring, crocheting in spiral rounds, single crochet, sewing on individual pieces...). The pattern uses only single crochet stitches, so it’s also suitable for beginners.

Crochet these cute little sheep egg cups!! They brighten up any breakfast table and will make you laugh early in the morning with their look alone. The little sheep are really a fun eye-catcher and also make wonderful gifts! I crochet the "fur-like" texture using bobbles. I explain these in detail at the beginning of the pattern with the help of pictures. I also use many pictures throughout the rest of the pattern to illustrate each step more clearly. This makes the crochet pattern quick and easy to understand! You should be confident working with single crochet stitches: increasing and decreasing stitches, as well as making a magic ring. 16 illustrated pages of crochet pattern
Difficulty level: intermediate, but easy to understand and quick to make thanks to the many pictures. What you need

• A 3mm crochet hook, approx. 15-20g of craft yarn/wool in the color of your choice (white, cream, beige, brown, black.... after all, sheep come in all kinds of colors ;-) ). This yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I crocheted the sheep using 100% cotton yarn, which makes them nice and sturdy.
• Some stuffing for the head and feet
• A darning needle and scissors
• Googly eyes and superglue

You can quickly crochet these beautiful Christmas egg cozies now, in between other things, from a few bits of leftover yarn. Cotton is pleasant to work with even on hot days, and by Advent you’ll already have a few nice little gifts or Secret Santa presents ready to go.

For a unicorn egg cozy, you’ll need a few scraps of cotton yarn, and then you’re ready to go - with the detailed pattern featuring over 60 photos/drawings, the egg cozy can be crocheted up quickly by you (even as a beginner). But you should already have basic crochet skills.

The egg cozy is approx. 7 cm tall.

You’ll need:

• Cotton yarn (115 m/50 g), white approx. 5-10 g (for the body + head)
  colorful scraps for the mane, tail + decoration
• some stuffing for the head
• a little black embroidery thread for embroidering the eyes
• crochet hooks 2.5 and 2.0
• stitch marker (alternatively yarn scraps, paper clips, etc.)
• sewing needle/embroidery needle

Skills:

• magic ring
• chain stitches
• single crochet, including increases, decreases, and color changes
• double crochet
• slip stitches

With little material and time, you can quickly crochet a beautiful egg cup / egg cozy. An eye-catcher on any Easter table and a great little gift for Easter!
