This year, too, many children are starting school for the first time. For all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and neighbors who’d like to give a gift to a child starting school, I’ve created this colorful backpack as a fitting and original gift packaging for candy, small toys, and school supplies.

The backpack is made of photo cardstock. It measures approximately 16.5 x 22.5 x 9 cm, making it quite spacious. The backpack is easy to make and well-suited even for beginners with some crafting experience.

A small gift can be wonderfully tucked away in a knitted little bag. Then the wrapping is a gift in itself.

Click here to go to the pattern.

You need two leftover bits of sock yarn and a 2.5 mm set of double-pointed needles for this. The hearts are shown in a knitting chart.
A delightful little bag that is sure to bring joy to the recipient.

This cute bride and groom pair is an original wrapping for a cash gift or a wedding voucher. Hidden inside are Kinder Surprise egg capsules where you can tuck your surprise. If you match the hair color and hairstyle to those of the real bride and groom, you’ll have a truly unique gift that will remain one of the most beautiful keepsakes long after the celebration.
Crocheted with Catania by Schachenmayr (scraps are enough).
The pattern is available here: Crochet Wedding Couple.

Start thinking about Christmas now and simply get started crocheting a fun gift bag.
How about Fredo the Christmas Sack ?
You can fill him up or just place him in front of the door—he’ll keep it open. :)

You’ll receive a detailed 13-page pattern with plenty of photos so you can make it quickly.
Fredo is approximately 25 cm high and wide.

Also suitable for beginners

Required skills:
The pattern does not include a beginner’s tutorial. You should already know how to work single crochet, half double crochet, a magic ring, increases and decreases, as well as chain stitches and slip stitches.

You’ll also need:
  • approx. 300 g of cotton yarn (hook size 3–4) in red
  • approx. 50 g each of white and black cotton yarn, plus a small amount of brown
  • Crochet hooks sizes 2.5 and 4.5
  • A yarn needle, a darning needle, and stuffing

Gift wrapping and a good-luck charm all in one! Why not wrap your wine bottle in this fun bottle sleeve? It even keeps the wine cool to a certain extent. And it’s so fun to look at that it can later serve as a table decoration.
All you need is some pink cotton, stuffing, and googly eyes.
Here is the pattern.

Banknote Doves in a Picture Frame! Would you like to give someone money as a wedding gift, but you’re not quite sure how to package it beautifully? Then turn the banknotes into a small work of art by presenting them in a pretty way. Since money gifts are always welcome, charm is a must. With little time required, you’ll have a handmade, creative, and individual gift that is beautifully displayed in a picture frame.
  • The pattern includes detailed pictures and is suitable for beginners with basic crochet knowledge. This pattern is easy because you only need to know chain stitches, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, and slip stitches.
Material: cotton yarn with a length of approx. 110-125 m/50 g. Gold effect yarn. Crochet hook size 2.5. Picture frame approx. 20x30 cm.

This funny owl can be filled with little things.

Made from leftover yarn, it works up quickly (even for beginners) and can then take a spot on the garden fence.

For stuffed animals, scarves, shawls, bags, and similar gifts that are very difficult to wrap in gift paper, this box is ideal. It’s very easy to fill and, after being emptied, can be used again either as gift packaging or as a decorative storage box.

The box measures approx. 16.5 x 16.5 cm and is made from photo cardstock. It’s quick and easy to craft, but cutting out and gluing on the motif elements does take a little time.

For a wedding, people often give money so the bridal couple can fulfill their own wishes.
You also think an envelope is boring? I have something a little different for you.....

A special wedding gift jar, filled with coins, is sure to be an eye-catcher at any celebration!!

This way to the pattern, please

Crochet Pattern: Gift Bags

These gift bags are perfect for many occasions. A small monetary gift can be nicely wrapped in one. They can also be attached to a larger gift. Perhaps with a few nice little treats (chocolates, candies...)

If you’re already thinking ahead to Christmas, I have a tip for you: just crochet 23 more gift bags, and you’ll have a great Advent calendar. The bag is really quick to crochet. However, you should already have basic crochet skills. Materials
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • a small amount of yarn, about 15 g
  • possibly beads for decoration
As with all my patterns, copyright applies. Have fun!
