Happiness is the absence of wishes.
But happiness is also when you find a lucky penny on the street. You can get the bag for collecting lucky pennies from me.

Here is the pattern.

The little bag is knitted from top to bottom in rounds. Two remnants of sock yarn are enough, approx. 55 m in red and 40 m in a contrasting color. It is knitted on 2.5 mm double-pointed needles. Of course, you can also use other yarns; that will affect the size of the bag, but a bag isn’t something that has to fit.
There is a knitting chart for the hearts.

Sock Knitting Tutorial for 4-Ply Sock Yarn Using Newborn Baby Socks—Up to Size 47

Hand-knitted socks for young and old bring joy and satisfaction:

(Click the image to purchase/download )

This is an illustrated sock-knitting tutorial based on size 15 baby socks knitted from 4-ply sock yarn and

consists of a total of 4 PDF files :

  • a detailed, illustrated main guide,
  • hand-drawn sketches,
  • a baby sock chart for sizes 15–20, and a
  • sock chart for sizes 22–47.

Also included is a brief pattern for baby gloves, as parts of the baby sock pattern can be used for them.

Don’t be alarmed! It’s harder to describe the process than it is to actually knit the socks. Materials needed:

  • approx. 15 g of 4-ply sock yarn for the baby socks,
  • approx. 10 g of 4-ply sock yarn for the baby gloves,
  • for adult socks up to size 44: 100 g of sock yarn,
  • if larger, 150 g are required.

2.5 mm set of double-pointed needles, measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle.

The baby socks can also be embroidered, for example, and used in various ways—not just as baby socks—such as as “wrapping” for cash gifts or sweets, as an Advent calendar, as a key ring (it looks nicer if scaled down proportionally), and more.

for me, happiness is also when I finish knitting something truly especially beautiful
that many others like too,

like this lovely shawl, it has 8 points and is nowhere near as difficult
as it looks!

it is knitted only with knit stitches; once you have finished the first point,
the others almost work themselves,

Happiness for me is having a few quiet hours to knit and crochet, the right yarn, and a great pattern.

Just like the crochet pattern for the Tausendschön shawl.

Tausendschön is a wonderfully large, beautiful shawl. Because of its slightly asymmetrical shape, it can be worn in many different ways. The little flowers, which also gave the scarf its name, are crocheted on as you go and are the highlight!

The shawl can be crocheted in many yarn weights. The size can also be varied freely.

Required materials:
  • approx. 1500 meters of 3- to 4-ply yarn (e.g., lace yarn, gradient yarn cake, or sock yarn)
  • crochet hook size 3–4
  • sewing needle
  • scissors
  • kitchen scale (to calculate the amount used)
  • if needed, a little spray starch
Required skills:
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet stitches
  • slip stitches
  • double crochet stitches
  • crocheting stitches together
A photo tutorial shows how the little flowers are crocheted.

Finished measurements: approx. 184–90 cm (but it can also be made smaller or larger).
The pattern is 12 pages long and includes written instructions as well as charts, a schematic drawing, and a photo tutorial. Difficulty level: easy.

For me, happiness is a fish—the zodiac sign of my son.
Get a little piece of my happiness with these little fish.

Swim over to the pattern here

For this little lucky charm, you’ll need leftover yarn and a size 2.5 crochet hook. For the belly, use a Kinder Surprise egg capsule or fiberfill.

Also ideal for crochet on the go.

Untouched nature is a great joy for me. Being able to drink water from the tap is a great joy. Clean air is a great joy.
High up in the mountains, alpine roses grow. Seeing them is also a great joy.

This is the matching scarf for it.

It is knitted with sock yarn. A simple lace and cable pattern is transformed by the colors of the yarn into a sea of blossoms.
The amount needed depends on the desired length, although you should plan for a bit more for cable patterns. It is knitted on 3.5 mm needles.

Owls are well known to bring good luck into the home. If you have two of them, it certainly can't hurt ;-)

 Fussel and Flocke

Approx. 200 g hat yarn (150 g/165 m) for the body and approx. 100 g fluffy yarn or mohair-style yarn for the rest. Hook size 5, some stuffing, a blunt needle, and two eyes. Fussel and/or Flocke are crocheted quite quickly with the thicker yarn. Chain stitches, single crochet, increases and decreases. Even for ambitious beginners, this is a project that will make a rainy weekend a little nicer :-)
Your leftover winter yarn can still be turned into something cuddly when it's already too warm for a hat or scarf.
Of course, Fussel and Flocke can also be crocheted with any other yarn; this will only change the size from the current approx. 35 cm and the amount of material needed.
If others maybe aren't bringing you any luck right now, just crochet it yourself :-)

Have fun crocheting :-)

For some people, happiness means reveling in colors. With this lightweight scarf, which is especially well suited for gradient yarn, you can do just that.

Here is the pattern for it.

The scarf is knitted from sock yarn on 3.5 mm needles. The exciting thing about it is that it is knitted diagonally, which makes the colors stand out especially well. A simple lace pattern along the edge lightens up the look.
The pattern is also very well suited for knitters who are not that experienced.
