Little Calf Rattle Ring Crochet Pattern

This cute little calf will make every baby smile. With its sweet little bell, you’ll instantly grab their attention and have lots of fun playing :-) . The rattle measures about 20 cm including the horns. It fits in any bag and can be taken anywhere. The perfect distraction on the go and at home. The little calf is easy to make and is also great for crochet beginners! You just need to know the basic crochet techniques: working single crochet, increasing and decreasing single crochet, making a magic ring, and sewing the individual parts together. What you’ll need:

• Approx. 20g of yarn in the color you want the calf to be (I used “Sun City” yarn by Schachenmayr). This yarn should be suitable for a 3.5mm crochet hook. Leftover pink yarn for the nose, as well as leftover dark brown and red yarn. This leftover yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook
• A 3.5 mm crochet hook and a 3 mm crochet hook. If you use a 4 mm hook for the body, the calf will be larger.
• A darning needle and scissors
• Stuffing
• 8mm safety eyes; if you don’t want to use safety eyes or don’t have any, you can of course embroider the eyes instead
• A stitch marker
• A small bell

Piggy Grasping Toy Crochet Pattern

This cute little piggy will make any baby smile. With its sweet expression, you’ll instantly capture their attention and have lots of fun playing :-) . The grasping toy measures approx. 17 cm including the ears. It fits in any bag and can be taken anywhere. The perfect distraction at home or on the go. The piggy is easy to make and is also great for crochet beginners! You only need to know the basic crochet techniques: single crochet, increasing and decreasing single crochet, making a magic ring, and sewing the individual parts together. What you’ll need:

• A 3mm crochet hook
• stuffing
• A yarn needle and scissors
• a stitch marker
• 8 mm safety eyes / push-in eyes
• 20 g of yarn in pink or dark pink, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook.
• Single strands of black yarn (to embroider the face later)

You will need lots of leftover yarn; the more you invest in Raupelina, the more colorful she will be.
Approx. 150 g of leftover wool, two needles or a set of double-pointed needles for needle size 2.5–3.0

• 1 yarn needle and an appliqué, alternatively felt in black or another color.
• A sewing needle, a yarn needle, two 3.0 needles or a 3.0 set of double-pointed needles
• It is knitted only in stockinette stitch, so knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side.

   


Sweet Caterpillar Raupelina

Even the very little ones can play with this train set! It’s sturdy, won’t scratch anything, and can be chewed on and washed. It’s soft and cuddly, so it can even come to bed at night. Inside, there’s room for little dolls, and the cars are connected to each other with Velcro.
The locomotive and cars are worked in single crochet and are easy to crochet. Only sewing the individual parts together takes a little time.

The little cat and its siblings can be made quickly using leftover yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook. For the rattle, place an empty Kinder Surprise egg capsule inside the belly and fill it with rice or small pebbles. Alternatively, you can also use stuffing for a soft, cuddly feel.

There is a very detailed pattern with lots of pictures, as well as a short version for crocheting on the go.

Babies love bright colors and rattling sounds; this stimulates their senses, making play an important part of healthy development. This cute bunny rattle will be a wonderful companion during a baby’s most important developmental phase. Whether as a small, lovingly crocheted gift for a birth or christening, or as a first toy with Mom’s love in every stitch, this little bunny is an absolute eye-catcher. The pattern includes 12 pages with plenty of clear, detailed photos; even ambitious beginner crocheters can easily recreate the rattle. For this wonderful project, you’ll need:

• A size 2–2.5 crochet hook
• Yarn—I recommend Mondial Bio Soft Cotton (50g–180 m). This yarn is made from 100% organic cotton, is very soft, and has been tested for harmful substances, making it ideal for baby toys. (Alternatively, you can use Katia “Candy” for Baby or Online Cotton Baby.) You can also use a different yarn, but you’ll need to pay attention to the yardage; otherwise, the bunny will turn out huge. The pattern includes specifications for yarn with a yardage of 50g = 125m (e.g., Catania Originals). You’ll need:
• about 25 g of pink yarn for the rattle
• black scraps to crochet the eyes, or you can use black beads
• gray scraps for the stripes, the ear, and to embroider the nose
• orange scraps for the carrot
• green scraps for the carrot
• Sewing thread in a matching color to sew the ears and the appliqué in place
• Black sewing thread to embroider the eyebrows, whiskers, and stripes on the carrot

How about a crocheted ball?



With the start of summer, playtime moves out into the garden, and this ball is just the thing.
This ball cover is filled with a balloon. The balloon is now protected inside the crocheted cover, so it can withstand quite a bit and is quite soft if it ever lands in a flower bed. When it gets really dirty, it can be washed quickly, dries fast, and is ready to use again. Just pop in a new balloon, and it’s welcome back in the kids’ room too.

Any leftover yarn is suitable for crocheting this, preferably cotton. Since you only need to crochet double crochets, single crochets, and chain stitches, the ball is also suitable for beginners. The challenge lies in properly joining the individual granny squares, but this is explained in detail with plenty of pictures.

The rattles—knight, princess, and pirate—make a lovely baby toy. They help train motor skills and spark babies’ joy of discovery, since they rattle when shaken. Toddlers often still enjoy playing with the rattles too, because they can be used for role-playing games.

The pattern includes many pictures and detailed step-by-step explanations. Chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet are used. The pattern can also be crocheted by ambitious beginners.
