Funny
egg cozies, not just for Easter! Plus, they’re an
ideal way to use up leftover yarn.
Quick and easy to knit in one evening in front of the TV, they make a last-minute little gift for any occasion.
Basic knitting skills are enough.
We knit in the round with a set of double-pointed needles. Decorations can be added as desired and with your own creativity.
Material:
Basically, any yarn can be used with a slightly smaller needle size than indicated on the label.
For 1 egg cozy: approx. 10 g – 15 g yarn (leftovers) + small bits of leftover yarn for decorating;
here: set of double-pointed needles 4.0 and crochet hook approx. 3.0 for “knotting in the hair”; yarn needle for sewing in ends, sewing needle and buttons if needed, tape measure, scissors.
Recommendation: safety eyes if the egg cozies are used as amigurumi for small children.
Included in the PDF download:
- Quick pattern in text form, written for yarns with approx. 105 m length per 50 g
- Step-by-step illustrated pattern, written for yarns with approx. 85 m length per 50 g
knitted with a size 4.0 set of double-pointed needles in each case (then the egg cozies will be nice and dense and stand up on their own)
