 Crochet Konrad the Beetle :- )                   

 Spring is here!!! The first 3 rays of sunshine and already the beetle alert is on ;-) Konrad is about 15 to 17 cm tall if you use 40 g of yarn and a size 3 hook. But he can also be crocheted with different yarn weights and hook sizes. Konrad is quick to make and a great way to kick off spring. He’s crocheted using single crochet stitches, so he’s well-suited for beginners, too. Use up your leftover yarn and simply crochet your own beetle.

Personally, I have a panicky fear of spiders and once designed this little, friendly spider with its web as a form of self-therapy :) With a spider like this in the house, it’s easy to live with :)
Hulda is very easy to crochet and can also be crocheted by beginners with a little practice.



Difficulty level: Easy 
What you’ll need:

Supplies: Gründl Happy yarn (250 m per 100 g) (beige– approx. 50 - 60 g - , Gründl Lisa yarn 20-30 g dark brown, a little black, 30–40 g white and a little red), stuffing, either buttons or googly eyes, needle size 3.5, yarn needle and scissors
Almost all parts are worked in spiral rounds and joined together later.

This is Dora, a little grasshopper lady. This beetle is a real busy bee with her skirt. This pattern is not necessarily suitable for beginners.
Doesn’t she look sweet? Dora is already really looking forward to the warm months of the year, because then she can finally hop across the meadows again. It doesn't always have to be just cute.....

Most people have a healthy respect for hornets, and so do I, especially when they look this mean. The hornet is a perfect gift for men, since they’re known to like the “evil eye” look and can easily put this hornet in their car.

But the hornet can also become the life of the party if you sew it onto a pair of underwear and have the man of your dreams make an appearance with it ;)

Difficulty level: easy

What you need:
Gründl Happy yarn (100 g = 250 m yardage):

• Yellow approx. 60 g
• Black approx. 20 g
• Red approx. 10-15 g
• White approx. 10 g
  
• Some white fabric plus red and black Edding markers for the mouth
• Glue
• Crochet hook: 3.5, yarn needle and scissors and stuffing material

What you need to know:

Chain stitches, single crochet, magic ring, half double crochet, increasing and decreasing stitches

Kenny the Beetle loves spending time in the meadow. But he’d certainly feel right at home in a child’s room, too.
Using the specified materials, Kenny the Beetle measures 24 cm tall when seated.
Personally, I recommend using cotton yarn for recreating all of my animals and dolls.
The pattern includes many step-by-step photos to make the process easier. However, basic knowledge of crocheting (single crochet, spiral rounds, etc.) is required.
To make Kenny the Beetle, you’ll need the following materials:

• 50 g of cotton yarn in medium green
• 50 g of cotton yarn in light green
• 25 g of white cotton yarn
• Leftover black cotton yarn (for embroidering the mouth)
• a pair of safety eyes, 12 mm, in brown-black
• stuffing
