Dear users, dear designers,
the temperatures are so-so. They could be better. But as the saying goes: There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.
Here in this thread, you can discover patterns (and their respective designers) for charming and warm vests, jackets, cardigans, soul warmers, shrugs, ponchos, and sweaters.
Have fun making them.

@Designers,
this is a promotional thread for all Crazypatterns designers.
2-3 thematically suitable patterns per designer are enough. Please link directly to the respective pattern; do not add a general shop link.
A link and image, as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info, and details about what makes the pattern special, must be included.

Simple Crochet Poncho with Möbius Shawl Collar (Loop)

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Quick and easy to crochet...

With this crochet method, you can decide while crocheting how large the poncho should be – you simply stop crocheting whenever you like.

Poncho and Möbius scarf are made with bulky gradient yarn, 100 g – 100 m, and a 8.0 mm crochet hook. This poncho weighs approx. 600 g, the loop approx. 100 g.

The PDF pattern includes the poncho and Möbius scarf and is illustrated, but it is not a crochet course in itself.

These crochet skills are used:
chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, crocheting in rounds.

By the way: with a Möbius scarf, the pattern you create is mirrored, i.e. one horizontal half appears like the right outside, while the second half appears like the wrong inside of the pattern. This creates sophisticated effects, depending on how the scarf is wrapped and how the pattern falls.

Crochet pattern + knitting pattern:

Soul warmer and cuffs - crocheted to look knitted - easy

(For purchase/download, please click the image)

One size - quick and easy

Whether crocheted or knitted: a cozy soul warmer like this is in demand all year round, whether on cool summer days, as an outdoor jacket in the transitional season, or on the couch in winter.

And yes, the crochet pattern looks knitted and is just as cuddly soft.
But knitters will also get their money’s worth. The stitch pattern is very similar.

The PDF pattern is detailed and illustrated over 23 pages and contains both the crochet pattern and the knitting pattern for

  • the soul warmer and
  • the arm/leg warmers.

The stitches used are explained with pictures. So general crochet or knitting skills are sufficient.

Basically, any yarn you like can be used. However, the amount of yarn can vary greatly, depending on your choice of yarn and needle/hook size. Details are provided in the pattern.

My yarn usage when using an alpaca yarn, 50g – 100 m, according to the label for needle size 3 – 4, but used here:  crochet hook size 8.0

  • for the soul warmer approx. 500 g in the crochet version (approx. 800 g in the knitted version with needles size 6.0),
  • for the cuffs approx. 100 g in both versions

My favorite jacket

You can knit it in sizes 36/38; 40/42; 44/46. The honeycomb pattern gives the jacket a lovely texture. The hood and welt pockets make this piece very practical for everyday wear.
You should already have some knitting experience to make it.
Depending on the size, you will need 900g - 1000g Lana Grossa Superlana mint (50g / 110m) and size 5 knitting needles.

Here is the pattern

This takes you directly to the pattern

This raglan cardigan is beautifully lightweight and perfect for spring and summer. The delicate lace pattern on the back is another special detail that makes this cardigan an elegant piece. You don’t have to sew anything together here, because the cardigan is knitted in one piece from the top down. The pattern is written for 10 different sizes.

You’ll need:
Material: Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Sock (100g /402 m/440 y): 3 (3, 3, 4) (4, 4, 5) (5, 6, 6) skeins.Knitting needles: 3.5 mm circular needle and possibly a set of double-pointed needles (sleeves), 3 mm circular needles and possibly a set of double-pointed needles (sleeves). Also: 10 stitch markers in two different colors. 8 in one color (raglan markers MMA) and another 2 in a different color
(markers for the lace pattern MMB),
yarn needle, possibly row counter. Closure (hook and eye).Gauge: 24 stitches and 36 rows over 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles, after washing.
