You can crochet this large breakfast set for a children’s play kitchen from a few leftover yarn scraps and lots and lots of single crochet stitches:

Link to the pattern

The pattern is explained in detail and illustrated step by step.
This makes it well suited for crochet beginners, too.

You will need leftover cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g (e.g., Schachenmayr Catania), a 2.5 and/or 3.0 crochet hook, scissors, a yarn needle, and a little stuffing.

The set includes patterns for bread/toast, sausage and spread, cheese, butter with a butter dish, fried egg, tomato, cucumber, and egg slices, milk, and tea bags.

In addition to single crochet stitches, the following skills are also required:
chain stitches, slip stitches, half double crochet and double crochet, crocheting in rounds and in rows, increasing and decreasing stitches, and color changes.

If you have any questions about the pattern, I am always available and will reply within a few hours.

Have fun making it!

This little airplane is crocheted almost entirely with single crochet stitches. You only need half double crochet stitches for the propeller, so it’s ideal for beginners. A sweet little keychain! If you crochet several of them, you can also make a beautiful colorful mobile out of them. It will be a lovely decoration for a child’s room. And at the same time, you can use up your leftover cotton yarn.
Here’s the pattern: Crochet an airplane

Easy Baby Crochet Shoes

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This is an illustrated crochet pattern incl. short crochet instructions (sketch) as well as a short pattern for the knitted version  for easy-to-crochet baby shoes.

Basic crochet skills are enough.

We need: approx. 50 g cotton (blend) yarn with a yardage of approx. 90 m per 50 g, for (knitting) needle size 4.0–5.0; used here: crochet hook 4.5; thinner yarn can also be used, but the stated measurements are what matters (check gauge), leftover yarn for the bows or 2 pretty buttons, yarn needle, measuring tape, scissors.

By the way: cash gifts can also be “wrapped” this way..

Made almost entirely of single crochet stitches, Schorsch, the Alien is a pretty quirky character, but behind the colorful facade there’s a friendly, lovable fellow who is always up for a little joke.

This crochet pattern explains every step with detailed text and lots of pictures, and also includes a few useful tips and tricks. It is also suitable for beginners with basic crochet skills.

Schorsch has made a stopover on this page and is waiting for earthlings he can befriend: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/24587/haekelanleitung-schorsch-der-ausserirdische-amigurumi-spielzeug

It's still too cold, but spring can't be far away now. And then these little cotton shoes, crocheted entirely in single crochet, are ideal.

Depending on the yarn weight, these little shoes measure between 9 and 10.5 cm, and leftover yarn is often enough.

My pattern has lots of pictures, and the crocheting of the little shoes is explained step by step.

Shall we lure spring in? Then go directly to the pattern here.

Do you have a little baker or shopkeeper at home? Then these chocolates for the play kitchen or pretend shop are just right.

They’re a wonderful way to use up leftover yarn and combine the colors however you like. The chocolates are also wonderfully suitable for beginners, because you only need to know single crochet, slip stitches, and chain stitches.

You can find the pattern for the chocolates here: Crochet pattern - Crocheting chocolates for the play kitchen / pretend shop
