Dear users, dear authors,
what’s going on with your UFOs?

I’m currently running an event I’ve called “Kill the UFO ^^.” So things are going well on that front. :)

And the fact that I’m home sick probably helps too... So I’m working through some veeeery different UFOs, like selling my mountains of books online ^^

This was the first batch: 162 books, 22 DVDs, and 23 CDs

Here’s how it is for me: if I lose interest in a project or pattern and “put it on hold” for the time being, it has virtually no chance of ever making it out of the UFO box. Quite a few have piled up there by now. I have an entire folder labeled “Unfinished—Still in Progress,” and it’s already pretty full :-/
I’m constantly coming up with new ideas that somehow seem “more important”....lol
I just started working on a big project again; I hope I actually finish it. And with crochet patterns, it’s usually not enough to just make it once...at least not for me....

I’m trying to do better ;-)

Well, right now I only have one UFO sitting in the corner. It’s a summer poncho that just needs to be sewn together. But I can do that right before summer starts.
And I have one project in the works right now. So things are pretty laid-back at the moment when it comes to UFOs.

Tomorrow evening I’ll have the house to myself again, and I’ll be putting my sewing machine to work.  In a week, a friend is celebrating her 40th birthday, and she’s throwing a 70s-themed party. I still need something to wear. I have some really garish, colorful fabric left over. I want to use it to add flares to a pair of pants!
We’ll see if it turns out the way I imagine it will.

I don’t have any UFOs, just WIPs *laughs*
I have no idea how many projects I’ve started that are sitting in my WIP box (and in countless other places)—I just know that the number keeps growing… It’s all because of those new ideas that usually have to be started right away…
But I’ve made it my goal to reduce the number of WIPs over the course of this year—let’s see if I can do it ;-)

I decided today to throw away my only long-term UFO. Then that would finally be off my list!

It’s a shame, because I’ve probably put about 40 hours of work into it, but it’s never going to be finished anyway... Not to mention that “back then” I was still working with different yarn that I don’t like at all anymore, and I don’t even remember which needle I used...

Now I’ve actually managed to bring my number of UFOs down to 0! :)

One UFO—a baby vest—has just been finished; the baby cardigan still needs to be sewn together, but unfortunately the big UFOs—a cardigan and two sweaters/shirts for me, and the sweater for my husband—are still fast asleep! The trouble is, there are always such great new patterns on CrazyPatterns… Maybe I’ll still manage to finish the projects I started a while back by summer after all—that would be a great sense of accomplishment!

I don’t have any UFOs left, but I do have plenty of leftover yarn that I need to use up.
Since I still have a few patterns saved on my iPad, I just need to see what goes with what.
@Tina, I also got rid of a UFO because the yarn was terrible—I don’t think there’s any shame in that!

I’ve now finished 3 UFOs—yay!

Unfortunately, I was sick for a while, and as soon as I got up and moved around, I felt dizzy and nauseous—thankfully, it’s all over now. But since I was kind of stuck on the couch, I’ve now finished my door wreath—a Mother’s Day gift for my mother-in-law—and the little animals for my friend.
So I dug a few ancient UFOs out of the box again and carried on with them. Now I remember why I put them in the box back then...

I’ll admit it—I’ve started a few new UFOs.
