Dear users, dear designers,
You’re surely familiar with that blue-gray light that is so impressive shortly before the night ends and the new day begins? Shortly afterward, the first rays of sunshine of the new day can be seen, while the sun makes its way across the sky. In the evening, with a little luck, you can watch a gorgeous sunset.
This thread is the place for all patterns that fit this theme and color scheme.
Have fun crafting, enjoying the sunset, sunrise, and patterns in red, orange, and yellow.

@Designers,
this is a promotional thread for all designers.
2–3 patterns per designer are enough.
Don’t forget a link and image, as well as material details, technique info, material details, and information about what makes the pattern special.
Please link directly to the product / product page, not a general link to the shop overview.

The “Yellow Sunshine” bag carries the colors of sunshine within it. And it’s also a practical companion for everyday life. You can use the shoulder bag for shopping, as a beach bag, as a toy bag for the kids, and so much more.

While crocheting, you’ll also learn the technique of deeper-inserted stitches and cluster stitches, if you don’t know them yet. Both stitch types are explained in detail with words and pictures. You’ll also need chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet.

Thanks to the many photos and detailed description, the bag can also be crocheted by ambitious beginners.

Here you’ll find the pattern, along with further information, e.g. about the yarn used: Crochet Pattern Bag Yellow Sunshine

The gradient yarn used to make this cowl is called "Sunset," because the colors are reminiscent of one.

The pattern is especially suitable for beginners and for anyone who may be working with a Bobbel, meaning a multi-strand gradient yarn, for the first time. Thanks to the simple technique, beginners can easily recreate the tube scarf, and because of the yarn’s color gradient, the result is always a beautiful piece. Only the so-called standard stitches are needed: chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet.

It was crocheted with a three-strand wool Bobbel, but four- or five-strand Bobbels can also be used.

You can find the pattern, as well as more information, e.g. about the required materials, here: Crochet Pattern Cowl 'Margery'

Amrun - that is the Elvish word for sunrise

Clear, almost geometric shapes alternate in this chic knitted triangular shawl with an interesting color design. This gives it a sporty touch and makes it the perfect accessory for a casual jeans outfit.

You can knit this shawl with many different yarns, whether cotton, sock yarn, or other cozy yarns - you’ll always get a great result!

The yarn used should not be heavier than DK (8-ply yarn).

Materials needed:

  • Yarn approx. 600 meters in sock yarn weight (e.g. 50 grams Drops Safran and 150 grams Rowan Siena 4ply)
  • Circular knitting needle in the appropriate size and length (I recommend an interchangeable needle system such as Knitpro)
  • Stitch markers
  • Sewing needle
The shawl is started at the tip with just a few stitches and knitted up to the neck edge. The finishing edge is knitted on sideways using short rows. This is described in detail later in the pattern. For the finishing edge, approx. 40 – 50 meters (approx. 8 – 9%) of yarn should be planned.
Finished size after blocking: approx. 160 x 80 cm

The pattern is 9 pages long and includes written instructions as well as detailed charts (knitting charts).

Difficulty level: intermediate.

And best of all: For a short time, there is still a 20% discount on the pattern price!

  • Schachenmayr Bravo = pumpkin 08192 = 1 ball
  • Schachenmayr Bravo = scarlet 08142 = 1 ball
  • Crochet hook 4 mm and 5 mm
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle for weaving in the ends
And you should have these skills
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet
  • slip stitches
  • half double crochet
  • double crochet
  • post double crochet

What do you think of a yellow-orange shopping bag? It’s knitted in cotton (69 meters per 50 grams)—you’ll need 2 skeins of it and 1 skein in a contrasting color to make the colors pop a little more.
You’ll also need a 5mm circular needle and a stitch marker. You can find the pattern here.

Here’s a gift bag for you that’s perfect for summer—beautifully vibrant, full of flowers, and as round as the sun!

This bag is made from photo cardstock and measures approximately 25.5 x 26 x 9 cm. It’s very easy to make; it just takes a little patience to cut out all the flowers.

Year-Round Beanie Knitted from Sock Yarn

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

Pick your favorite color of 6-ply sock yarn and the knitting fun can begin :-)

For this feather-light year-round beanie,

which is made with knitting needles in various sizes (the brim with size 3.5 needles, the main section with size 6.0 needles, the decreases with sizes 4.5 and 4.0) and a crochet hook size 3.0–4.0 for the embellishment, 70 g of 6-ply sock yarn is enough, though 1 skein usually has 150 g. So you can easily knit a small loop scarf or even 1 pair of socks up to shoe size 36/37 from the leftover yarn :-)
By the way: you can find a sock-knitting tutorial with charts for 6-ply sock yarn here (click me).

With colorful sock yarn, the respective color gradient—like the one shown here—appears automatically.

This poncho is just the right garment for any lady at this time of year and in the current weather.
It’s the ideal companion for walking the dog, taking a stroll through the park, or browsing around town.

The poncho has a button placket at the front, which gives it the character of a cape. With or without a hood—you decide what you like.
It is crocheted with thick yarn (7–8 mm), making it especially nice and warm.

You’ll find all further info about this poncho on the product page.
