fire-breathing dragons , giant dinosaurs , and snapping crocodiles are great because they’re perfect for helping kids fight nightmares.
Dinosaurs, dragons, and crocodiles scare away anything that might frighten children. That’s why a child can fall asleep and sleep soundly with their favorite stuffed animal in their arms.

Crochet Pattern: Jimmy the Baby Dragon (34 cm)

Isn’t Jimmy adorable and easy to fall in love with? Little dragon Jimmy is about 34 cm tall and just under 28 cm wide.

Difficulty level: easy. Over 24 pages, I show you how to make Jimmy, the little baby dragon, with lots of pictures, text, and tabular stitch explanations. Just give him a try — you’ll love him ;) What you’ll need:

Polyester yarn from various brands (for example, I used Gründl Happy, the store brand from Real and Karstadt) 50 g = 120 m yardage / 100 g = 250 m yardage :

• Turquoise approx. 250 g
• Dark purple approx. 30 g
• Light purple approx. 60–80 g
• White fabric scraps for the eyes and tongue + red and black permanent markers + some glue
• Thicker craft wire for the tail and wings (if the dragon is for children, I would leave out the wire)
• Crochet hook size 3.5, yarn needle, scissors, and stuffing

Optional for extra stability when standing or sitting:

• Fill a small bag with bird sand

You can crochet this little companion for your brave dragon slayer yourself with the help of this pattern. All steps are explained in detail, and many pictures help you make it. For this great project you’ll need: a 2–2.5 mm crochet hook, yarn—I recommend Mondial Bio Soft Cotton 50 g–180 m; this yarn is made of 100% organic cotton, is very soft, and has been tested for harmful substances, so it is ideal for baby toys. (Or alternatively Katia “Candy” for Baby or Online Cotton Baby.) You can also use a different yarn, but keep in mind that this will change the size of the comforter. You’ll need: scraps of pink; scraps of black for the mouth; mint with colorful speckles (color 291) for the underside of the comforter, the wings, and the ears, approx. 50 g; apple green (color 135) for the top of the comforter, the head, and the legs, approx. 50 g; scraps of aqua (color 522) for the spots on the back, for crocheting around the wings, and for embroidering the hair. If you use a different yarn, you may need to adjust the yarn quantities. A darning needle for sewing in ends, scissors, a row marker or a thread in a contrasting color to mark the beginning of each round, sewing thread in a matching color to sew on the head, spots, and wings, stuffing, crinkle foil for the wings, row marker. To crochet the comforter, you need to know the following: single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), treble crochet (tr), decreases, increases, slip stitch, magic ring, popcorn stitch

Anton the Dragon

Have you heard of the Slumber Dino yet?

Slumber Dinos are an extremely rare species, and that’s a good thing: they’re highly dangerous, because their sleepiness can be quite contagious! So be careful if you ever find one in your bed at home. It’s best to sneak up with slow movements, lie down next to it, and cuddle it tight! :-)



The pattern explains every step across a total of 10 pages with lots of pictures, so it is also suitable for ambitious beginners with some prior knowledge (see below).

Required skills

• Magic ring

• increasing and decreasing stitches

And the best for last, the giant Brachiosaurus:

With the specified yarn weight and hook size, the dinosaur has an impressive length of approx. 88 cm and a height of approx. 30 cm. With a larger

Cord is a completely cuddly crocodile and goes everywhere with his human friend! He especially loves taking long walks to the river or the sea to look at boats—because when he grows up, he wants to be a captain! Cord isn’t particularly difficult to knit—if you can knit socks, you’ll be able to knit him without any trouble!

Pterosaurs used to live together in large colonies. But not Freddy... he likes to live alone—with a child who plays with him and takes him into their heart.

Using the specified materials, Pterosaur Freddy measures 40 cm from the tip of his beak to the end of his tail. Personally, I recommend cotton yarn for making all my cuddly toys and amigurumi.

The pattern includes many step-by-step photos that make it easier to follow. However, basic crochet skills are required.

The dragon pattern is beginner-friendly, illustrated, and detailed. It’s a lot of fun to crochet him - and a great gift even for babies

For crochet skills, single crochet and crocheting in rounds are enough

Here’s what to say about the set: This set can be THE HIT from birth through school age.
Once the baby is born, they will already love the dragon for playing and cuddling. The eggshell basket serves as a diaper dispenser for mom.
When the little earthling reaches the age for role-playing, the
dragon is put into his eggshell bed to sleep with a blanket and
a pillow.
Is the first day of school already in sight? Then the basket can keep the desk tidy as a
pencil storage basket. After all, what child
doesn’t have hundreds of pencils? And even at this age, the dragon will
